Rhinoplasty - Best Decision I’ve Ever Made!

My nose is now perfectly straight to me, I had my nostrils moved slight during surgery due to how wide my nose was before. The after picture was taken a couple of weeks after surgery.

I’ve always disliked my nose from a young age and never been happy with the way it looked on my face. I began looking into having ‘non surgical rhinoplasty’ after mentioning to my mum and she jokingly said ‘why don’t you get a nose job’ and that’s where it all started..

Would never have even dreamed of getting one due to how many ‘botched’ nose jobs I’ve seen over the years. Myself and my mum began researching different surgeons and she came across Mr Hassan. All his work looked great so I decided to book a consultation with him and 2 other surgeons. I didn’t just want to go with the first surgeon I seen incase they were not right for me. Mr Hassan was my first consultation and made me feel at ease straight away, he asked what I didn’t like about my nose why I wanted to change it etc. Coming out of the consultation I felt happy with what he said and confident that he could do what I had asked. I went to my second consultation with a different surgeon just to make sure I was making the right decision. The consultation did not go well after being told they would only remove the hump in my nose and nothing else (I also had a deviated septum). I didnt go to my third consultation after my experience with the second one, I knew if anyone was going to do a good job it would be Mr Hassan. I received the available surgery dates from Carolyn, paid my deposit and that was it, it was booked!

The day had come round so fast my mum came to the hospital with me we checked in and I was taken up to the room. After getting settled in Mr Hassan came to see me and told me I was going to be first down. Whilst he was in the room he asked me to go through what I was having done and what I was expecting. Once he left I put on the very fashionable gown they give you and the surgical socks. I had never been so nervous my hands started shaking in the lift on the way down but the nurses and anaesthetist made me feel comfortable and kept chatting to me until I was asleep.

I woke up in my room a few hours later with a cool mask on my face to try and help with the swelling. I wasn’t really in any pain and felt comfortable. Later on Mr Hassan came to see me and showed me the pictures he’d took during my surgery and I was in shock. My nose looked completely different and swollen from the front, I started wondering what it was going to look like on my face and if it would suit me after 23 years of having a big nose.

Recovery wasn’t bad at all I barely had any pain and was ok with just ibuprofen and paracetamol that they give you. I was quite swollen on day 4/5 and looked ridiculous but looking back now it was all worth it.

After 2 weeks I had a Skype call with Mr Hassan to remove my cast it was very straight forward and I was in speechless at the results. After I came off the call I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! I was so happy with my results although it took a while to get used to and start to see it as ‘my nose’.

The team at Elite are great and always on hand for any questions/concerns you have. The west midlands staff from the nurses to catering were also amazing! Making sure you’re comfortable, have everything you need and coming to check on you throughout your stay. I’m now 7 months post op and still can’t believe I’ve had rhinoplasty with such amazing results really is the best decision I’ve made!!
