Cory Torgerson Rhinoplasty Nightmare

Unfortunately there no 0 star option.
With all due respect to the staff and the doctor himself, I have no hate in my heart as they were all so friendly and very accommodating (in my experience). I enjoyed my several consultations due to my fear of having my nose operated on, but I wish I did more research though because there are hundreds of reviews that I’ve just NOW found that cast a very clear picture. Many peoples breathing was compromised or they hate their appearance due to their rhinoplasty experience with the same Dr. I’m hiding my real name due to privacy, but I really wanted to express my concerns and share my story. I recently lost a friend due to suicide because of surgery complications. She hated herself to the point where unfortunately no one could change her mind and she couldn’t afford to fix anything. I am now 2 years post op and I’m completely disheartened with my appearance. I was sold on the white and gold that surrounded the lounge area. The crisped white edginess of the front desk and fashionable couches. The expensive products and iPads that are spread across offices. The overcasting view of yorkville with high rise windows and clean bright rooms. My 3D Imaging was readjusted 5-6 times before my surgery upon my request, I felt the energy of me becoming an annoyance because I came in all the time to make minor changes for my sanity. After surgery I was put into a wheel chair and I was rolled out of the building and had to wait very long for my friend to pick me up. After spending 11,000$ cash to help save the Dr. from tax, you’d expect the treatment to be a lot better. First 4-6 months I can’t lie, I loved my nose. I fell in love with the swollen look and after the 8th month mark, it started dropping almost too much. It ended up sinking into my face so much it changed my breathing completely. I’ve spent over 10,000$ more within the last two years just on breathing strips, sprays, creams, rubs, and over the counter remedies. Nothing sufficed. I went back a year later and voiced my concerns as I could never do regular check ups because my profession involves a lot of travel. I also had too many nightmares of suffocation, drowning, and death due to panic attacks while sleeping. I wake up with a build up of mucus and blood clots everyday. I was extremely frustrated when everyones solutions were to always “keep rinsing”. I did it 3 times a day for several months even after the 1 year mark. Not 1 millimetre of change what so ever. He then offered me a minor procedure that could be done to help, but in terms of him examining my nasal passages, they were clear as day. I agree. Once he put the clamp in to spread my nose, it allowed me to breathe like I’ve never breathed before, but the minute he took it out we were back to square one. He proceeded to inject 0.4cc of Teosyal Kiss into my nose to fix it only aesthetically. In my mind I had no idea what was really going on. I then realized a couple days later my vision started to get a little bit blurry. I was having trouble reading, driving, seeing things even from up close. I’ve never worn glasses and I’d get insanely bad migraines. A new surgeon dissolved the Teosyal Kiss for me and thankfully it disappeared within hours, and so did all my other underlying issues. He also assessed the damage and told me I had an excessive amount of cartilage removed and I now had “saddle nose deformity”. It causes the nasal passageway to be restricted insanely. In severe cases, the internal nasal valve can completely cut off airflow through the nasal cavity, making it impossible for a person to breathe through the nose. Which is what I have and as a professional soccer player… I’ve been fighting for my life. I am now getting a revision which involves an open rhinoplasty and a rib graft will be used to repair and reconstruct my septum! Again, with all due respect, I’m not one to tell anyone what to do, just consider doing more research before ever going under the knife of any surgeon. Don’t be easily coerced by a friendly face!
The one star was for Bri, as seeing her was my favourite part of the entire experience.
