Difficult Operation/ Fantastic Result
I decided to go see Mr Chana after months/years of researching top cosmetic surgeons. I have had my nose broken 2 times previously through sport and had one septorhinoplasty performed on the NHS to correct breathing.
My main concern following this operation after years had passed was my drooping tip and bump on my nose.
I knew my operation wasn’t going to be easy so I wanted to make sure I chose the right surgeon to help me achieve the nose I wanted.
I had several consultations with other ‘expert’ rhinoplasty surgeons prior to Mr Chana but I felt they were telling me how my nose should look and it didn’t feel right.
When I first came to see Mr Chana I was immediately impressed by his calm, professional manner. I could tell her really cared about his patients and knew this was the man for the (nose) job, so to speak. He listened to my concerns and advised me what we could realistically to achieve - which was inline with my expectations.
My operation was scheduled for the beginning of March 2020. All went as expected and following my cast removal I was very very happy with the initial result. My nose was very straight and my front profile was exactly as we discussed and I had imagined preop.
Then COVID struck and FT mandatory masks were introduced, especially in my job where I needed a mask for 8 hours per day. Initial COVID Masks were poorly fitted and felt ‘tight’ on my face. After 5 months I felt my tip dropping below a level I was happy with so I went back to see Mr Chana who reassured me it would take more time to see the final result but if I was unhappy or required a ‘touch up’, this would not be a problem.
In time swelling reduced and my result wasn’t exactly as I had hoped for even though I could still see many improvements from my original nose. Mr Chana was very understanding and advised we could put my concerns right with another small procedure. At no point was I made to feel bad about this and was reassured in about 10% of cases a second procedure may be required.
Fast forward 12 months and I had my revision. I am very happy with the result. My nose looks natural and nobody has been able to tell I have had the operation. Mr chana likes to review and follow up patients frequently and I would rate his aftercare as second to none.
If you have any concerns or are debating an operation I would recommend you book an appointment with Mr Chana without delay.
He is one of the best at what he does and I have been lucky to have experienced it first hand.
