Best Decision I Have Ever Made

I have hated my nose since I can remember, it was a source of great insecurity for me.
Back in November last year (2018) I decided to get it fixed. I looked around at lots of different plastic surgeons, and finally came across Mr Townley. I emailed him with a variety of questions and he came back to me directly which I really appreciated a response from him and not someone on his behalf. I booked my appointment at his clinic in Harley Street. The consultation was such a good experience. We initially sat down and spoke through what I didn’t like about my nose, what I was worried about and how it could be fixed. He then took a variety of pictures to have these to edit so I could see what was realistic result to be achieved. Due to Mr Townley being very intricate and precise with the results we could achieve as well as his personable and calm manner, I knew I wanted him to perform my Rhinoplasty.
Before my surgery I had a phone call with Mr Townley as I started to worry, the phone call was so helpful, he instantly calmed my nerves and concerns. I had a final consultation the day before my surgery just to run over everything for a final time and again reduce my nerves.the day of surgery I met my anaesthesiologist, who was fantastic and also helped me feel more reassured about going under general anaesthetic (never previously been under). I saw Mr Townley that morning before as well which as always was very helpful and comforting. I can’t praise the Weymouth Street Hospital enough, with all the staff and everyone I spoke with they where so attentive, beyond lovely and helped me with anything I needed! After the operation I had minimal pain but just discomfort for the first three days but this is easily managed.
Yesterday I visited Mr Townley to have my cast and stitches removed. I think I was more nervous for this than the actual operation, this was the moment I would see my new nose. Mr Townley was beyond lovely, really understood all my worries including the pain of the stitches being removed. He was very gentle during the removal and patient when I felt uncomfortable with the pain (not that bad just a bit stingy). The removal process was very quick and next thing I knew I was looking at my new nose. My front profile was never an issue for me but he made it better, the tip is less bulbous, and now is smaller and more defined. The side is now the side I have always wanted. I won’t ever have to feel uncomfortable being photographed or viewed from that angle which is such a great feeling! I could not be happier with the outcome and it’s still swollen so should only get better :) everyone has told me it looks amazing, and I have already received such positive feedback.
To conclude, if you have though about having a rhinoplasty, I couldn’t recommend Mr Townley more. He was excellent. Never made me feel like I was being a pain for emailing and asking questions constantly. He was so helpful from beginning till end! I am beyond happy I didn't wimp out and went through with this process!
