3 weeks post op
Here are some photos of my nose 3 weeks post my operation. Some internal stitches have started to dissolve, and breathing is getting easier, though still some days it is really blocked. I haven't really done anything to help the healing except for staying off alcohol and trying to eat healthier.
Cast off
So today I had my cast removal with Dr.Ricketts. Pretty excited just for the fact I'm getting out of the house, and can finally go out again like normal. I'm not too nervous about what it will look like at this stage as it's still so swollen it's too soon to say what it will look like.
Having the cast removed really wasn't awful, the stitches didn't even hurt that much, just a tiny snip and sharp feeling and it was done. My nose still felt like it had a cast on it as it's still so stiff. I got some tape to put on at home, just so I feel a bit better about it, dr Ricketts said it probably won't do much in the long run, but it's more a placebo for me.
Ive had people asking me throughout the day what I think of it and if I like it, but honestly I can't really say at this point. I think my biggest fear is that the hump on my nose still comes though after the swelling goes down, but only time will tell. Can't wait for the bruises to completely go away!

One day before cast off
I am so excited to finally get my cast off tomorrow just so I can leave the house! Day 6 of being cooped up inside, I'm running out of things to do. I'm just a bit concerned about how messy it will be, as I'm still dripping from one nostril, and the other is quite blocked, nor will be getting the stitches removed be fun at all.
I'm not too concerned about how my nose will look as I know it will take months for the swelling to go down, right now it just looks like my old nose after I've had a cry. My face is still swollen 6 days after surgery, so I know the swelling will stick around for a bit.
