He’s great for primary

I just want to add that his work seems to be great for primary I would honestly go to him for primary work. This review was purely for the virtual consultation Revision rhino review.

I just wanted to present my personal experience for anyone seeking revision.
But if you’re seeking primary I would see this dr face to face.

I am sorry that you felt that your consultation was not worthwhile. Revision rhinoplasty is an incredibly complex procedure and the last thing that I would want is for a patient to undergo a difficult procedure and to end up worse off. The risk profile is often high, and because of this, I must weigh the pros and cons of surgery very carefully. Having said this, I do understand your disappointment.

Consultation Review with Dr. Asaria *waste of $&time*

I had my consultation via FaceTime sometime in March.
I’m writing this on my phone so excuse the format.
Dr Jamil Asaria has always offered teleconsultation for the same price (200$) so this isn’t a new thing for the clinic, so I expected a proper consultation but was let down:

I found the Dr on Instagram especially from his rib harvesting techniques, and “Asian rhinoplasty” even tho his reconstruction were always subtle and not as dramatic; I thought of him as a great option for my revision, as I am in dire need of building up my bridge and derotating my tip.

However,

I basically paid 200$ to FaceTime a Dr. For not even 20 minutes who didn’t simulate my images, told me things I already know like revision is harder than primary, and felt that fixing my nose is (too much) aka out of his expertise.
He then gave me the runaround On what he would do even tho I could feel he isn’t comfortable he could take it on, simply said I would take rib out it Im bridge and try and derotate the tip (ok but how? I would never know) he then and advices me that instead of a revision rhino I will be BETTER with nose fillers.

Said with surgery he can improve it by 50% and with fillers from his colleague it’s 70/75 percent. Even though I told him that I got fillers Years ago before that caused redness (which I still have) and I’m not comfortable getting any fillers in my nose.
Plus fillers in operated noses are very dangerous FYI.
I then asked him how come he feels that way about my nose when I have seen worse noses get fixed beautifully by other surgeons. He then said it’s easier to build a destroyed nose? Then one like mine? Ok but I would have respected you a lot more if you would have admitted that you aren’t skilled enough for me, instead of taking away my hope, and guiding me towards more fillers.

But why accept a consultation if that’s the case? Instead of having patients fill in so many papers. Why don’t you review the pictures and let the patient know how confident you are taking them on. Like non money hungry surgeons do...
So that was my consultation, no simulations no technique explanations, nothing, no other cases reviewed. Nothing at all.

All in all it was a waste of time and money 200$ is not cheap for a consultation. I since then had video consult with another Toronto doctor for FREE that was way more thorough with a package and simulations! And also paid video consult that had a lot more in as well. I will be reviewing those as well.

Thanks for reading my review and I hope I saved you time and money.
