Revision rhinoplasty
Mr Chana was the third consultation I had for my revision rhinoplasty following a primary surgery 20 years previously.
I knew within minutes of meeting him he was the surgeon I wanted or my op.
He had an ice calm mannerism about him and asked lots of questions regarding what I hoped I achieve.
I had my surgery 18th June 2018. Spreader grafts and ear cartilage was used to reconstruct my nose and give a better aesthetic outcome and correct breathing difficulties.
I saw mr Chana several times before he op and again on the morning of surgery where everything was fully explained gain.
The op went to plan and the care I received from the spire hospital was amazing.
Mr Chana visited me after the operation to explain all went well. He was also there to remove my cast and tape my nose a week later.
My recovery was painless. However I did have persistent swelling.
I saw Mr Chana several times over the following months to monitor the swelling and progress of my extensive reconstruction. Mr Chana was always professional and reassuring.
I once turned up a week early for my appointment and he still made time to see me.
Tamar and the whole team are so efficient. My after care was amazing.
I saw Mr Chana about 6 times after my surgery and had Steroid injections to help with residual swelling and I believe I could have seen him more if I'd needed to.
I'm a member of lots of surgery and rhinoplasty groups on social media and have become friends and followed the journey of many people and I'm amazed by how many of these are receiving poor aftercare. Some not seeing their surgeons after the operation, being fobbed off with nurses or worst still not being able to get an appointment at all!
Having their calls and concerns ignored when they have concerns.
That just isn't acceptable!
