Worst Revision Rhinoplasty with Dr Ward
My motivation was to get a little more airflow though my left nostril, instead he made that one smaller with even less airflow coming through now and he made my larger nostril even bigger. Before my surgery with him I had a cute nose! Not deformed, very little asymmetry and beautiful contour and shape. Now it’s one giant misshapen bumpy ball on the end of my nose.
If You Want a Bulbous Wide Nose, Dr Ward is Your Man!
Choosing Dr Ward for my Revision Rhinoplasty was honestly THE WORST decision I could’ve ever made! I paid $14,000 for my surgery and honestly, I could’ve gone to an ENT and gotten it done for free and a better job. Dr Ward is an ENT. Anyways, in my consultation he was super nice and very confident that he could get me breathing while maintaining a cute look to my nose. He even said he’d make my columella thinner and take off a minor minor bump on my nose(which didn’t bother me at all before). He ended up making my columella wider, my nostrils SUPER asymmetrical and my bridge and tip wide and bulbous(I’m 11 months out). In his surgical notes he said that my tip was too pointy..? That is definitely something he should’ve discussed with me beforehand because I like a pointy, feminine tip. Now I have a bulbous tip and I truly look like a man. My columella was placed very low too. I went to some other plastic surgeons and they didn’t want to trash talk but one of them said they’ve done a number of revisions on Dr Ward’s noses and that he does weird things and sutures, or flips out the cartilage so that it makes his noses bulbous or just adds too much. He has filled my nose with filler twice before 8 months and I’m almost a year out and it just looks awful. When I went in at two weeks he didn’t even remember that he put an alar graft in and I told him I can feel it and then he looked at his notes and remembered. He also used rib grafts for everything. Not just the middle of my nose but all the other stuff that you don’t want big and bulky that should’ve been done with ear cartilage, he used rob for all that. Just super lazy! He’s super nice but doesn’t have a clue! He told me I needed to go on Accutane to thin out my skin and thank goodness I didn’t listen to him because I could already feel all these bumps on my bridge and see all these irregularities in my tip. He then put filler in my nose to help hide those irregularities and thicken my skin and said that we might need to do fascia grafting next time. He is a total joke. Oh yeah, and I breathe worse than before. I wish I had done my research. Look at his before and afters. He can do a decent side profile but he massacres the front.
