Reconstructive Eyelid Surgery - my eyelids look much better now and have a softer appearance

Dr. Steinsapir is a very talented surgeon, and the passion he has for his work is evident once you meet him. I feel very fortunate to have had him perform my surgery because I am very happy with the results and with the whole experience, from the consultation and surgery to the after-care. I was very impressed with the individualized approach, with the personal service and with the care, attentiveness, thoroughness, precision and professionalism of Dr. Steinsapir and his team.

I sought out Dr. Steinsapir for Reconstructive Bilateral Upper Eyelid surgery because of another surgeon's unsatisfactory bilateral upper eyelid surgery. During my consultation, Dr. Steinsapir was very patient, attentive and thorough, spending about four hours with me. He was meticulous in his evaluation of me and discussed in detail what my problems were and how he could fix them. According to Dr. Steinsapir, my previous surgeon was very aggressive with my blepharoplasty. Not only were my upper eyelid creases made too high, but also I lacked volume of my upper eyelid folds, which he said possibly was caused by matted down scar tissue or too much fat removal, but he would not know until he opened up the eyelids in surgery. When I came to Dr. Steinsapir I was very distraught by the way my eyes looked, but he gave me hope after speaking with him.

His extensive experience, knowledge and expertise with reconstructive eyelid surgery are incomparable. And being not only a talented surgeon, but also a gifted artist, he determined how low to put the creases during surgery. As a result, my eyelids look much better now, closer to what they looked like prior to my original blepharoplasty and have a softer appearance.

In addition to Dr. Steinsapir, all of his office and surgical staff were wonderful and provided excellent care. The nurses were very nice and friendly and the anesthesiologist was excellent. Faith Gomberg, a true patient advocate, who happens to be a healthcare attorney, was outstanding. She made sure my consultation, pre-op and post-op went flawlessly and provided me with personal attention, counsel and care throughout the entire process. Organized, solicitous, helpful with all questions or concerns and the consummate professional, she made me feel welcome and comfortable whenever I called or visited the office. Like Dr. Steinsapir, she really cared about wanting me to have a successful surgery and experience.

I did a lot of research trying to find the best oculofacial surgeon in the United States, and I am very glad I found Dr. Steinsapir. Dr. Steinsapir is the best reconstructive eyelid surgeon in the country. I would not trust any other surgeon with my eyelids.
