WORTH IT
I have had my first profhilo treatment performed by the excellent Dr Joanna Christou at the Cosmetic skin clinic and the results are already impressive. I had initially wanted to try dabbling with fillers but Dr Christou recommend profhilo instead as a more preventative treatment as she didn’t think fillers or Botox were necessary for me at this time.
I was told that as a skin booster it would help collagen production and skin refining and that the results are subtle but noticeable (I know that sounds contradictory but stay with me lol). She was also interested to see if my rosacea would see any benefit. The treatment itself was fine with numbing cream and I had no redness or the little bumps that most people get. There also really wasn’t much swelling.
I would say that my skin immediately looked more plumped and glowing even after the initial dissolving period. I know it isn’t a filler in the traditional sense but I do think it has improved volume in a subtle way and my skin is calmer although it’s not marketed as a rosacea treatment. I will update after my second treatment

Hi,
I’ve already had my 2nd treatment and will be having a 3rd in a few weeks. I think it’s a great treatment for collagen induction. My skin overall is much calmer but I should note that I have overhauled my skincare and diet. However, I got not adverse reactions or worsening of my rosacea. I will update with photos as soon as I get them from my practitioner.

Thanks for sharing how well your first experience with Profhilo went! Please feel free to update when you head back for any further treatments.
