Before photos and after photos at six weeks after scar revision

The first lot of photos are my original mentor 350cc silicone implants showing the significant fold (by the small tattoo I've attempted to have removed by laser, but that's another story!) the last two are how they are now, six weeks after scar revision surgery with Nagor implants. One photo is after Mr Richards marked me up just before my second surgery to replace the old implants. I went up one size as wanted to close the wide gap between them and try and achieve more of a cleavage, although due to my body shape this is proving quite difficult! However, I'm pleased with how they are now and measure up at a 32F or 34E. I'm a size 10/12, 5ft 6' and 9.7 stone.

I contacted Mr Richards at Aurora clinics after concerns over my Mentor breast implants. I had these done in Athens, Greece, with Dr N Kapositas, back in 2004. I had ongoing concerns with them having significant rippling as well as one having a prominent fold I could see and feel through the breast. My original surgeon didn't seem to be that concerned, even though I contacted him on many occasions, so I decided to search for a reputable UK surgeon. I saw several surgeons for consultations, both free and paid and finally settled on Mr Richards, after viewing his YouTube videos and meeting him for a consultation. I found him to be polite, caring and straight to the point. He saw that I needed my implants straightforwardly replaced when other surgeons told me I needed expensive skin grafting as well as the replacements. I liked that he doesn't use drains, where all the other surgeons did. I felt there was no hard selling whatsoever. The clinic and hospital were of high standards and I cannot fault them. If I had to mention something negative, It would be that that Mr Richards was rather brief in his visits with me at the clinic/hospital, which was a little frustrating considering at times I had travelled some distance to see him (I relocated to Wales during my treatment). However, he was quite thorough at my initial free consultation and I fully understand he's a busy man, so I certainly don't hold it against him! During my visits, I was seen also by his nurse, Sinead Buckland, who was faultless in her efforts to make me fell well cared for. All the clinic staff were exceptionally well presented and happy, which makes a refreshing change to other clinics I've been to! Sinead especially was always friendly and highly complimentary. I was able to text or email her at any time and she made sure she answered any questions I had almost immediately. The surgery itself went very well but I was shocked to discover that my old implants had both either turned due to breast feeding or been put in upside down by my original surgeon! I was very glad to have them out and replaced with Nagor implants. The BMI hospital in High Wycombe I went to , was of good standards. The staff were friendly and Informative. I am very nervous of needles but the anaesthetist there immediately put me at ease and let me have gas (and Valium!) prior to being sedated with a needle! I still sobbed like a baby on the operating table, but the nurse held my hand! I requested my surgery to be filmed and consented Mr Richards to use it in his website - as my situation was quite unusual, so I felt this would be beneficial for anyone who may experience the same thing. All went well and aftercare was excellent following my surgery. Unfortunately, within three months, I suffered from what is commonly known as 'bottoming out'. I discovered that sadly along with my age and as I had breast fed two children with my previous implants, my poor skin couldn't cope with the weight of the implants, so they made an attempt to escape! I was mortified to say the least. However, a quick email to Aurora and I was booked into see Mr Richards immediately. He recommended I had scar revision surgery, where I would have a large section of skin taken off where the original scars were, in order to reduce the skin area and hold the implants back up! I was worried I may get charged for more surgery, but Mr Richards explained I wouldn't be as it was within six months of the surgery. I had the revision surgery at the same hospital and again, was happy with the treatment I received. As I had relocated to Cardiff, I was concerned about having to come back to England just to have the couple of stitches out, so I contacted Aurora again to express my concerns. Luckily I was allowed to go to my local GP to have them removed (altho' they had already absorbed into my body, as they do sometimes apparently!) Again, I was able to text Aggie, another of Mr Richards' lovely nurses, who immediately put me at ease when this occurred. My scars, although longer that the original ones usually left after regular augmentation, are thinner and to me look similar to when the underwire of a bra has been pressed against the skin, so quite natural looking considering! I have been advised to use the scar gel, Kelo-Cote, which is a lot pricier than the originally advised Bio-Oil, but I have confidence upon the recommendation from Aurora and certainly wasn't expected to purchase it. And now six weeks on, having come back from my last check up with Mr Richards, I am pleased to say I have a perfect new set of breasts and can confidently say that I am overall completely satisfied with the service and care I have been provided with from Mr Richards and all his staff at Aurora clinics. I was even more delighted to receive a voucher for the specific non-surgical treatment I enquired about during my last appointment! I will be booking that very soon, as even with the distance I am from the clinic now, I sincerely wouldn't feel confident going anywhere else. Thank you to all at Aurora clinics.
