Preservation Rhinoplasty Can Have Complications However Skilled the Surgeon
I had what I thought would be a simple preservation rhinoplasty at 47 having had my nose broken at 21 and had developed breathing issues. Sadly my morph and the result did look different to me as I felt my bridge was made too low. On top of this my nose did not heal well (the middle section seemed to have a lot of excess scar tissue) and a further adjustment to my nostril to try and correct another part of the issue (and for which I was charged) after 4 months appeared to make the problem worse. (Intially it had seemed so promising!) Sadly after waiting 2 years (it's important to do this I think) I felt my outcome was poor and my breathing had not improved. I was also not happy enough with my after care to want to pursue a revision with Charles East. So I sought the advice of other surgeons, as my husband kept saying my nose now looked twisted. The surgeons I saw were surprised at what they saw as East is viewed highly in the industry, but I sought revision with a different caring surgeon who did a wonderful job for me. The reconstruction took this surgeon 5 hours.
The pictures I have shared of the rhinoplasty results are taken in my beautician's salon in the same chair, same lighting for a fair comparison (but a marvellous fake tan being used for the second one!). I feel that rhinoplasty can develop complications so always make sure you have some spare money for a revision, whoever is operating! I have waited 6 months to post the comparison results.
