5th Revision - Portland, OR

Here is my story ,after 4 failed rhinoplasty surgeries ,I was very depressed with the crudeness of my nose.I couldn't even look in the mirror anymore . I contacted 3 other doctors before I met with Dr Kim..The first was a very well known revision doctor in the Seattle area.He said he didn't think he could make it any smaller ,only bigger and I should just forget about it ..I left still hopeful I would find someone to help me as I just couldn't imagine living with this disaster..The price to fix this was never an issue as well..Just someone with the skills and confidence was my only hope..The next doc ,I saw in the Seattle area,said he could try and make it look better,didn't even give me a thorough exam or take pics but gave me a price of $21,000 for the surgery and said it would take 21/2 hours..Honestly didn't feel good about this docs at all..He showed no real passion for this very serious and complicated repair .More like, if he got the money he would work on me..No game plan ..which I had actually seen in my other previous surgeries..and my heart said don't settle for this..My 3rd visit was a doc close to my home who actually doesn't like doing revisions,But I met with him anyways,due to his close proximity.By this time I had already scheduled an appointment with Dr Kim after seeing his pics on Real Self while searching....The 3rd doc said ,honestly,it was too complicated for his tastes.I told him I had an appoint with a doc in Portland next week and mentioned Dr KIm's name and he got very excited and said I know MIke,,YES,,go to him.If anyone could fix it ,it would be him....Well that gave me encouragement but still was worried that he too would probably say,,it is too much to consider.Like the others....Well I drove the 3 hours to see him and I must say the moment I laid eyes on him,I knew I was in the company of greatness..He entered with an assistance and he examined every square inch of my nose ,inside and out..I could tell he was thinking how he could fix it and honestly cared..Mind you I have seen many nose doctors and not one of them handled themselves in this manner. He took many pictures and said he believed he could fix it up and make it more feminine...3 1/2 weeks later I was scheduled for surgery at Oshu...as I was being wheeled away for surgery I asked Dr Kim to build it fit a for a Goddess and he asked which one..haha....Well,5 hours later and removing layers and layers of grafts and totally rebuilding my entire nose and sinus canals..This surgery was very different than all my other 4 surgeries and of course there is massive swelling because of all the work..But it feels like a well wrapped gift.He is meticulous ...Mind you its only been a month today and I can breath better than I have been able to my entire life..I can see the outline of the shape he designed daily forming(but know it will take a good year plus) I am blown away by this mans ability,Yet he is so modest .There is so much healing left of course but I am so greatful to this Genius soul..He truly has the IT factor and his sweet dimples just the icing on the cake..Trust this man for the best work possible.He is magic!! I will be back for more in a couple months when I treat myself to the goddess facelift work to celebrate the beautiful new nose,,Mucho love and heartfelt appreciation to Dr Kim always!!!
