19 yrs ago, I visited a facial plastic surgeon in another state for some contouring of my face. In the weeks following surgery, a nightmare began. The physician took so much fat from one side of my face that it was concave and completely out of balance to the opposite side. The a massive infection developed which left a large reddish-purple streak across that cheek for several months, requiring 2 rounds of antibiotics. Sutures in the underlying tissues eventually began to surface through the skin as a result of the infection and I ended up with a cheek full of scar tissue. Because of the disproportion of my cheeks, the doctor began to perform fat transfers to improve the symmetry of my face, but the result was only a very lumpy cheek.
I then moved to this area of the country and began to seek help from other physicians. Some did not want to risk further injury to my face and others attempted various efforts to improve matters, but to no avail. Then I met Dr. Hudak. She immediately gave me hope and began meso-lipo injections to reduce the lumps and attain some degree of smoothness to the affected area. And little by little, over several years she has employed other interventions as they became available, and which she believed appropriate for my situation to rebuild my depressed cheek. Today my face looks the best it has in 19 yrs---thanks to Dr. Hudak.
Throughout the years that I've known her, she has always tried to please me and has never objected to my input. She has been delightful to work with, is always optimistic and eager to share the newest procedures. She always wears a smile and giggles easily. A visit to her office is like spending time with a good friend. I will always be grateful to Dr. Hudak for her time and effort in re-establishing a normal appearance to my face.
