I'm finally graduating from a lurker to a post-er! I'm a mom of 3 awesome kiddos - ages 2, 4, & 6. All large babies delivered via c-section. I'm 29 and recently got the amazing privilege of finally becoming a stay at home mom.

I have my mommy makeover scheduled for 9/5/13. That's TWO days away! I'm so excited to be getting this done - God has really blessed me this year. My PS was able to get me in rather quickly too. I had my first consult in the beginning of July. He said I was a great candidate and this would be a life changing procedure. When I had the money ready 2 weeks ago, I was scheduled!

So for the last 2 weeks I've been making as many arrangements as possible for my kids. My mom is flying in tonight and will stay until the 20th. I will stay overnight in the surgery center and then stay in a hotel until my post-op on the 9th. I've prepared 2 weeks of freezer meals so my family doesn't live on take out and TV dinners. The hubs has a food allergy so this was really necessary.

I couldn't sleep well last night. My nerves had me up worrying and then praying. It also had me up in the bathroom a few times (sensitive stomach) =(

I will post before pics when I have afters to compare to. Otherwise, it just makes me sad. I'm not and never have been skinny. But I've also never had boobs. I've wanted my boobs done since I was about 16 and realized they weren't coming to the party LoL! The tummy tuck was something I realized I needed after my son was born 2 years ago. I was about 80lbs heavier during my pregnancies and my tummy is hanging low...way low... So Mommy Makeover here I come!!

Today is your big day! Thank you for starting your story and I'll be sending you positive thoughts for the rest of the week. When you feel up to it, please let us know how you're doing.

Here's a post by Blonde in Bluffton about her first three days post op. Hopefully it'll give you some idea of what to expect.

2 Days -- doing good

Well, ladies I'm 2 days out and it feels like its been a week. Not sleeping the whole night through and being bored will have that effect. Everything is sore and swollen but that was to be expected. I haven't had any crazy unbearable pain thank God. I'm just resting and walking the hotel room. My doctor doesn't allow the initial binder to come off until after my post-op on Monday so I won't be posting any new me pics for the tummy. He said he took off a layer of skin and fat that was at least an inch and a half thick. He said it was about as wide as I am, almost as tall as it was wide, and the shape of a football. Idk if that make sense but I can already tell a huge difference in my abdomen.
The boobs...I went into surgery have nearly nothing as far as breast tissue was concerned. He put 700cc memory gel under the muscle and let me tell you, I feel them with every breath I take LoL! I think they're going to be really pretty when they drop. Pics will come soon :)
My back is tired of laying down, my abs are tired of sitting up. Truthfully, I'm uncomfortable but can totally manage. My mom is at the hotel with me to help me get out of bed and open medicine bottles. I am taking a Percocet and a Benadryl every 4-6 hours. The painkillers made me itchy and the nurse at the surgery center gave me Benadryl. I'm also taking dulcolax but haven't had a BM yet. I've had lots of people praying for me and I know that's the only way I'm feeling as good as I am. Will post more later! Happy healing :)

3 Days Post --- Itchy!!

Hi All,
I'm itchy with a capital I. Itchy to the nth degree. I want to tear off this binder and claw my skin I'm so itchy! Otherwise, I'm ok.
My pain killers wore off during a nap and I kept having dreams that either scared me or made me laugh, both causing me to tighten my abs. OUCH! So I took 2 percocet when I woke up and then rode with my mom to get some dinner. I have my first post op tomorrow and then I drive home. I live about 3 hours away from my PS so I stayed close for the first few days following surgery. I've been passing the time texting friends and playing candy crush.
I'm nervous to go home tomorrow because I don't want my kids to accidentally hurt me but I miss them so much! And I miss my hubs too ;)
I'm posting a pic showing the apron belly next to one I took today. I'm still wrapped up but I can already see a huge difference. I do want to know when my boobs will start to fall and fluff. Right now I just look like I have killer pec muscles :p

G'Night All!

Congrats on getting thru it! Mine is on nov 4. I too have decided to stay in a hotel close to doc until first postop. It was good validation to see you deciding that way too. I hope u heal well! And the tatas will drop :-). Some moms have had horizontal bands across and massages. Perhaps your ps may also recommend these or something equivalent later in postop. Happy healing and congratulations!!
