MONTH 2 F/U

Just following up after 2+months since injection. Refresher: got 20 units between the brows ("11s") and 10 units scattered on each side temple (20 total), around my eyes. It's been about 2mos and 2wks... and so far SO GOOD!! I still love it. It's an instant-grat fix. Just a little "something" to lift and tighten. I don't have the tight-feeling anymore and everything looks pretty natural, sans deep wrinkles. Still no 11's or scrunchiness. And I'm still going with the 2 shots per year strategy, if even that. I think that'll be enough.

As for the La Mer... I don't know if I'm really a good candidate to comment. I didn't start out with too many natural wrinkles - just expression lines that are forced. And I started La Mer when I got botox. So there went the rest of the wrinkles... But I've been using La Mer religiously am/pm and I do love the smell A LOT. And I get lots of good Nordstrom cc perks (bonus points) with it! :) I really like the Eye intense (green one) and the Soft Cream. Other than that - don't think I'll really use the entire line. I just think it's WAY too over-priced and honestly, I'd probably get the same results using Night of Olay, which I've used all my life. The best thing for your skin is just to stay out of the sun and drinks lots of water... 2 things I'm terrible at doing!! :p

Week 2

plastic surgery on a guy...
0:59
Wow, it's already been 2 weeks! Time has flown! I think I completely missed Valentine's Day! haha... I've been working on my holiday weight and have lost 5 lbs! The trick: eat CLEAN, and pick a distraction (other than sitting on the couch reading RS) - CLEAN the closet!! I cleaned out the entire master closet and refolded, reorganized, labeled, and changed out all the hangers (bcz I have to have matching hangers). Donated 6 large bags of clothes to Goodwill... Botox has been great. My eye/forehead area looks smoother and more "youthful". Better than the effects of La Mer! lol... If I re-buy La Mer, I would just buy the eye cream and the soft cream. The rest of the product line... meh. Hope everyone is healing well and ready for bikini beach season!!

Day 6

Nothing spells relief from a tension (or cycle) "headache" than... a monthly facial! The good thing about living in a predominantly Asian community is that there are facial programs GALORE! (once a month facials for a lower 1-yr full payment). So i went in for my monthly hydration facial that ALWAYS puts me to sleep... and it was Ahhhhh-some! :)

So I took britt's advice and turns out I'm already enrolled in the Brilliant Distinctions program thru my provider - so I'm a-earnin' points towards my future botox or ...Latisse??!! Also, if you're local to Pasadena, please use my sn (since I'm not about to provide my real name) and mention you know me from RS and go see Dr. Martin O'Toole so we can BOTH get botox or Latisse freebies (O'Toole's incentive). That's how I got this first trial. FREEBIES!

Provider Review

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
542 South Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, California

Dr. O'Toole ("DOT") has been my plastic surgeon for my MM as well as a family friend of a friend. He is the sole doctor of Pasadena Cosmetic Surgery in Pasadena, CA, located just south of beautiful Old Pas. His practice is a beautiful, stand-alone, modern gray and glass building - right across the street from a surgical center and the Huntington Memorial Hospital. Wait times are short, with usually only 1 other person (if any) waiting in the waiting area. Dr. O'Toole himself performs all his surgeries, including all injections, and follow-ups. He is double American board-certified in surgery and plastic surgery and has over 20+ years of experience. I received 30 units of botox "free" (sample) with my MM. The doctor typically doesn't like to use less than 10 units per area treated because you won't see results and the effects will wear off faster. Dr. O'Toole has a very well-seasoned "finesse" when he performs any of his surgeries and takes the time to DO IT RIGHT. You never feel rushed, you always feel cared for, and in the end - the results are proof of his experience and technique.
