Well I'm not exactly thrilled with the progress of the second subcision. The first subcisipn progress was very noticeable and so far the second has only raised the scar very slightly. I am really hoping that when I go back in another month that I will be able to get a filler for make the scar level with my skin.

From someone else's perspective, your results look fantastic! It's only natural to be hyper critical when it's your own face, right? Are you going to get a 3rd subcision? I've been dying to get this done myself..... but I have a lot more scars. Just can't find anyone around here that does it (yet.) Thanks for posting your review.

Thank you!! And yes, I will either get a 3rd subcision of depending on my progress they will just use a laser to even it with my skin. Really appreciate the kind words :) And it's definitely worth it! Hoping you find someone soon!

Came across this post when looking for a Dr. Who does subcision in the KC area, do you recommend Dr. McCune? I have the same sunken in scar on my cheek as you did from a mole removal that I'm desperate to have taken care of. Curious as to how your scar looks now? Any advice? Thanks!!!

Hey!! It looks much better now. We also did a filler after a few months of doing subcisions and it is much less noticeable! I do recommend Dr. McCune if you have a similar issue

Thank you so much for your response! I made my appt with him so hopefully he can help! Would you be able to post an up to date photo of the scar? I'd love to see how it looks now? Did you do the subcision twice or 3 times?

Of course! I'll post another tonight or tomorrow. I did subcision 3 times and then I did a filler when I saw that progress had stopped being so significant. I believe the filler is juvederm but I would have to check. I'm just happy because even though you can see the scar it is not indented anymore. Dr. McCune said that the filler should only last 3-6 months but I'm into the 6 month and it is still filled in nicely. He said I would most likely have to go back for a filling but I haven't had to yet

I did just the filler! It's been really good for the last 6 months. He said it could only last anywhere from 3 months- 1 year so I may be back to do that

Hey there! Your results look pretty good and I'd love to see what your scar looks like now, and if you ended up getting further treatment for this. I am also trying to improve a sunken surgical scar on my face. Currently I have only been doing microneedling but am looking into subcision as well, especially because your results seem pretty good!

Would really appreciate an update whenever you get a chance :)!

Possible Plateau in Progress

Hi! So it's been about 2 weeks since my second subcision and I think I've reached a plateau in the progress. To me, it looks about the same as it did after the first subcision. It did raise slightly but not as much as I wanted. I have a photo with makeup on it but I'll take a better for comparison later. Really was hoping that it would look more raised.

Hi! Things are going pretty good! I got the second subcision about a month ago and will be getting another one this coming month or having a laser treatment depending on the results. Thanks for asking! :)

Hi all! So it's been about 2 months since my first subcision on a scar left by a mole removal. The scar was very deep and had sunk quite a bit since the surgery years ago. The first subcision made some nice improvement on the scar but it usually takes 2-3 subcision treatments for the optimal result. I will post before subcision #2 pics and right after. I did notice the bruising and bleeding on this treatment to be way more noticeable than last treatment. Excited to see the results. I'll post an update in the next few days once the bruising has gone away.
