This is my second attempt to post the beginning of my review for ThermiTight.. I just had it done 3 days ago so I won’t have my final review until I’m 3 months post op. But I thought I’d share my healing thus far.. Boy oh boy am I SWOLLEN I mean WOW! I have to be back at work Monday and I’m definitely going to need to come up with an excuse for my coworkers Lol.. I look like a chipmunk or one of the old Cabbage Patch Dolls. I really can only just laugh at myself at this point I look so ridiculous.. Anyways I’ll post my pics thus far so everyone can see the worst case scenario for swelling Lol.. Updated on 29 Mar 2019: Just posting a quick 30 day update. My swelling is still there along my lower jawline and jowl area, I’m still tender there as well especially when I apply makeup or my moisturizer it feels like a deep bruise under the skin. So I’m just being patient and not judging the outcome yet as I still have swelling ur to resolve and so I’m not able to tell if any tightening has actually occurred.. nothing much else to report, I’ll follow up in another 30 days with my 2 month pics. Updated on 26 Apr 2019: it’s been 8 weeks since I had thermitight on lower face and under jawline.. it took a very long time for my swelling to resolve, id say a good 4-5 weeks. I do still have slight tenderness/ soreness in my jaw area the feels like how a bruise does when it’s almost gone, I will post some quick pictures from this morning at my work desk.. I really don’t know if I see any tightening effect yet? I have decided that I will want to have some liposuction under my jawline in the near future to just clean up and define my jawline more, I hate when I smile my far under my jaw blends in with my face.. anywho I’ll continue to update monthly for the next few months to see if any changes occur. Updated on 23 May 2019: Just a quick comparison picture from this past August 2018 til today’s date May 2019.. I’m only 3 months out from the original procedure February 2019. When I look at these two pics I think I can see a subtle tightening lift effect in my lower face? I don’t seem as saggy looking I guess? Idk could be just I’m wanting to see that. My two friends said when they see the pictures above they can see a difference so I guess that’s something. Updated on 24 Jul 2019: Just doing a brief update. I am 5 months post op not much change at all from 3 months update. So far I’m still pleased with the subtle tightening effect in lower face jawline. Updated on 17 Sep 2019: Hello, So I’m just doing just one more and last update on my thermi-tight on lower face and jawline. I know there have been a lot of negative reviews on this procedure and I’m not discrediting them, however thus far I have had no regrets and it’s been a subtle yet substantial improvement for me if that makes since Lol.. No one knows exactly what’s different which is subtle but yet when I look and show those I want to my before and after then they agree a substantial improvement is seen. So in conclusion this is just my experience so far 7 months out, & yes things may change in the coming months and if they do in a negative way then I will post about that, fingers crossed tho that this willl be my last needed positive post!
My motivation to get this sculpsure treatment is because I’ve always struggled with a flabby belly! I would have to loose about 8lbs for me to even have a flat stomach. Considering I only weigh 121lbs. ————————This was my first sculpsure treatment I had and I treatment my flanks and lower abdominals and upper abdominals. My left side was a lot more sensitive then my right, and the nurse told me it could be because I have more nerves or fat on my left side. At times it was uncomfortable, but the treatment only takes about 25m. ———————-The way I chose my provider was off of a few reviews on here, and the type of doctor who provided it. The doctor I saw was a dermatologist, and the nurse who did my treatment had also had her aesthetics license. She explained everything to me, and how everyone is different. She examined my belly and flanks, and then the doctor came in to examine me also to make sure I was a good candidate for the treatment. The doctor and the nurse were very friendly and kind. The nurse did a great job at making sure I was comfortable as I could be. She chatted with me the entire time. She did explain that sculpsure uses a laser to melt the fat, and how it really doesn’t have any side effects other then being sore and possible swelling. She said something about heat being better the cold. I was a little checked out since I drove 2hrs to get to my 9am appt. she advised me to drink plenty of water and to do vigorous massage x2 daily. She wanted to schedule my second treatment 6-8wks out, but I held off on doing that just yet. She did mention to me that patients who are more active see quicker results. So I’ll keep y’all updated!!! She also does sculpsure to herself, and she thinks this is the best non invasive comparing it to cool-sculpting. —————————After my treatment a few hours later...I do feel sore on my left side more so then my right. I also worked out vigorously today power cleaned 160lbs, then a bunch of bike sprints with more power cleans, and everything felt fine! If I missed anything out please comment and I will respond :-)I received this complimentary treatment through the RealFriends program. Updated on 11 Jul 2018: I wanted to post a picture from when I was at my leanest. You can tell a huge difference of course. Unfortunately, to be that lean 24/7 isn't realistic. I pushed my body to the extreme, and during the process I may have compromised my hormones a bit. I of course had a nutritionist a the time who was helping me through this whole process. Before I cut down to that I went from about 1,900 calories to 1,300 calories. I miss being that lean, but my goodness I was starving all the time! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Those of you who are into tracking macros nutrients. As of now I am consuming 250 carbs 60 fat and 125 protein. This will slowly go down over the course of the next 8-12 weeks. This may interfere with how rapid I see my results, but I guess we can only wait and see. Another thing is, I unfortunately have a little loose skin from being heavier years ago. All my fat likes to accumulate into my mid section, and of course my genetics aren't fantastic, and as a result I have some loose skin on my abdominal area. Now while I was this lean it was harder to tell while I was standing up. If I were to sit down even being that lean you would see a little excess skin. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- How do I feel? Honestly, I don't feel swollen in the areas, but I feel a little excess fat there. Maybe, that is what the swelling feels like? I'm not sure. I'm the slightest bit sore on my left side, but nothing horrible. Updated on 14 Jul 2018: I still feel tender in the areas I’ve had it done, but honestly it only is tender when I grab those areas. Other then that I honestly can’t tell if I’m swollen or not lol. Updated on 1 Aug 2018: I thought I’d update you all. I still feel fat haha, and I am trying to schedule my second sculpsure appt, but they lady has not emailed me back and it’s been about a week. I will be calling today! I keeping my fingers crossed that I one of those patients who see skin tightening. I stopped massaging the area as of lat week, soreness is gone. Updated on 23 Aug 2018: Sent out another email to the office still no response! Sort of getting annoying! But here’s an update with some pictures, I personally don’t see any chances! Updated on 31 Aug 2018: Finally, after waiting to hear back for a few days they finally got me scheduled for October 12th at 9am! Hopefully this doesn’t mess with the results, because they wanted me back by the 6-8wk mark, but they took forever to get back to me, and they didn’t have any openings! Updated on 4 Nov 2018: I finally got my second treatment a couple weeks ago! Sorry I’ve been MIA lately. I had some personal things happen like a major break up, school work just over loaded and working on top of all this stress. I’m not sure how accurate these photos will be since I have lost weight since my 1st sculpsure treatment due to stressful events. By the way Teressa is the esthetician that did my sculpsure treatment, and I was also communicating with her about my second treatment. This is where it got a little confusing! I thought she was the receptionist! I’m terrible with names apparently! Makes total sense why I wasn’t getting a response right away, she’s the one always working with patient duuuhhh!! Anyways- I had a great second experience with her and the dermatologist. I had an unrelated issue that he took care of on the house! All it was, it was just an inflamed hair follicle from my scar I had. So thank youuu!! Appreciate it so much!! I did set the date for my post pictures in about a few weeks. Here are the pictures I took that day. Also, I wasn’t super sore or swollen this time. Like I was the first time. But I also have less fat so idk! Updated on 20 Dec 2018: I’ve tried keeping a consistent diet but with finals and going through a rough break up and move it was pretty hard! I’m not sure if I personally notice any changes at all! But I have no lumps or pain at the point!
Couldn't have been better. I had laser surgery. The staff was exceptional, the Dr. an artist and the results are perfect. I have rarely experienced such good "customer service" in a medical office. Everyone was friendly and very professional. Absolutely a great experience and treatment.
I have received non-ablative FRAXEL treatment on my face as well as Laser V treatment for leg veins from Dr. McCune. I was very happy with the results in both cases. The FRAXEL series of treatments do require some commitment. I underwent an initial series of four treatments over the course of six months. You need to prepare your face with a numbing cream and by taking a mild painkiller. There is a bit of discomfort during the procedure but nothing earthshaking or intolerable. FRAXEL was the best rosacea suppressant I have ever tried. FRAXEL also removed all of my mild brown spots and freckles. My overall skin tone is truly back to something close to porcelain. In addition, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles were greatly reduced. I would saw that my crow's feet were reduce by as much as 75%. So although it took some time and a good deal of effort to schedule. I am very happy with the FRAXEL results. I intend to continue with refresher treatments as many as twice per year. The overall effect is that my face looks fresher, smother, less wrinkled and free of any discoloration of skin color. Love the way it makes me look younger but in a totally natural way The FRAXEL method causes your skin to rebuilt itself so it necessarily is your own natural healing process that is rebuilding your skin surface with "new tissue." Dr. McCune is a recognized authority in KC area in the field of dermatology. He is quite popular, and, as a result. I had to be somewhat patient with scheduling as he can get booked a long time in advance. All in all, it was still worth it to me. I really think my skin looks years younger and I really like what I see in the mirror. I will be back for more FRAXEL as is appropriate, and I will go to Dr. McCune. Also the LASER V treatment for leg veins was fairly quick and easy. It was also very effective. I loved the results. Made me feel much more comfortable exposing my legs in public. Again, would definitely go back to Dr. McCune
Dr. McCune is an amazing doctor with the best bedside manner. He takes the time to discuss every issue and answers all my questions, without making me feel rushed. He has great experience and is honest giving his opinion!
I have been a patient of Dr McCune and his staff for the last 15 years. Have had to see them for general skin problems and also have had laser and ThermiTight procedures performed. I would not consider going to anybody other than Dr. McCune for laser procedures and/or Thermi. Brenda is who I see for skin conditions/problems and she is wonderful too. I have had a few lesions that needed attention/removal and other skin problems through the years. Brenda seems to immediately identify the problem and help resolve. I have had to wait a bit longer than I wanted (a few times) but am looking for kind, knowledgeable folks that I can trust with my skin! Dr McCune and Brenda provide top-notch service and I have been very pleased with my results.
excellent, very personable and professional bedside manner very detailed in his explanation as to what the procedure will be and exactly what is needed very responsive to your needs and a good listener
Dr. McCune was great! He spent time with me, listened to my needs and gave me best Botox treatment I've ever received! I will never go see another Physician for antiaging treatments!! I can't wait to see how many more years he can erase!
Dr Mccune is the only doctor I trust with my face! He is honest and never suggests anything to be done . He is conservative with his procedures and would rather do a little and add later if need be. He definitely cares if his patients are happy with results! Great bedside manner and very professional.
I overall had a great experience both times at this office. First for a consult, then for a laser procedure. The waiting room has a spa-like feel, and the receptionist is very friendly and helpful. The NP I met with was helpful and listened well. Dr. McCune was very knowledgeable and answered the loads of questions I dropped on him. I have other health issues that he took into careful consideration. I am just a couple days out from my procedure, but assuming all heals as expected, and is it so far, I would highly recommend this office and doctor!
There are many different causes of hair loss including hormonal changes, thyroid issues, environmental stressors, genetics, etc. I recommend seeing a board certified Dermatologist that can help you determine the cause of your hair loss. After the cause is determined, you can then explore different treatment options. Treatments for hair loss (after ruling out any external/medical issues) include topical solutions, oral medications, hair transplants, PRP, e Best, Dr. McCune

There are a variety of scar removal or scar revision options available that can improve the look of scars. The most important consideration for scar treatment is to select the most effective treatment for a particular scar. Different types of scars respond best to different treatments or procedures. It's best to visit a highly trained physician who can evaluate your type of scar and create a tailored treatment plan. Best, Dr. McCune
Fraxel will help with many skin issues including skin tone/texture, pore size, pigmentation etc. However, Fraxel will not improve broken capillaries. There are a variety of different lasers that specifically target blood vessels. In my practice, I use a laser called ExcelV/Gemini which targets any redness in the skin, including broken capillaries. The number of treatments required depends on the severity of the capillaries. Typically it takes a few treatments for the best results. Best, Dr. McCune
