Yes, you read correctly, I said 3 prior breast surgeries over a 16 year time period. Brief review of my history: My 1st surgery was to replace breast volume after breast feeding. To avoid lift scars, the surgeon recommended simply using an implant under the muscle. I thought this procedure made sense at the time because avoiding big scars just seemed to make sense. Well...I was devastated by this surgery. The surgeon grossly underestimated how much skin and tissue I had that was stretched out. So, during the surgery to avoid the lift scars he decided to use an enormous implant to lift my breasts. Well, that was then and apparently not an uncommon practice for problems such as mine. Over the next 10 years, that same surgeon performed 2 more surgeries that both involved reduction of those implants with a lift. Therefore, I ended up with the scars anyway. My results were asymmetrical and still entirely bigger than I wanted them to be.

As a professional woman, I was often sneered at by other women, inappropriately approached or not taken seriously by men and I could forget about finding clothes that fit properly. These issues coupled with neck/back aches certainly took a bigger toll on my self esteem than I had even realized. Until now...

Dr. Oppenheimer recently replaced my implants with smaller ones and removed not only skin, but breast tissue to lift my breasts. I look in the mirror and cannot believe what I am seeing. Dr. O may have lifted my breasts but he lifted my spirits even higher. I'm not sure I can thank him enough for his gifted hands.
