I had my consultation with Dr. Ivan Wayne and feel very confident with my choice. He has two board certifications and glowing reviews.
I had planned on doing this years ago and just never got around to it. My surgery date is July 23, 2015. I am very nervous about all the things that could go wrong. I would love to share my journey with all you who are or have gone through this. I will post more after my pre op appointment on June 10, 2015.

Mine is scheduled July 13 th and like you, I am so nervous but excited all at same time!! It's scary because it's my face but I know this is something I have to do. I'm 53 and always looked young for my age but something happened after menopause.. Like fast!! I'm also worried because only a few people know I'm doing this and I don't know how I'm gonna "hideout" for that long, esp from my mother!! I'm getting facelift/neck, lower bleph, endoscoptic browlift and laser resurfacing. Just wanted to reach out to you and let you know you are not alone in feeling really nervous!! How exciting ! July 13 will be here before you know it. I will be sure and follow you. I know what you mean by its something you have to do.... Because no matter how scared I am I still feel compelled to do it. Good luck with everything and I hope your mom doesn't find out.

I just have to say that you are absolutely stunning. I hope I look nearly as good as you do when I reach my 60s. It shows that you've taken good care of yourself. :)

I just had lower face/neck done about one month ago and feel it was a really good result and experience. I also had eyes done about a year earlier. Reviews and pictures are posted of both procedures. Like you I had been thinking about it for a long time. I'm 66 now. What procedures are you having done? You will be so pleased. Best wishes. Maggie1030.

I completely understand your anxiety. I went through a ton of it pre-surgery. I'm now 3 weeks post-op and feeling good. I've chronicled my journey pretty thoroughly...if you get a chance check it out. Might help :-)

I can only imagine how nervous you are at only 2 weeks to go! Every time I think about it I feel like I'm on a roller coaster, lol. I feel so blessed to have found Dr. Wayne right here in Oklahoma City. I'll be thinking about you and can't wait to see pics.

Had my pre op today. I have been feeling very nervous and scared the closer surgery gets...but today really calmed me down and I started feeling excited again. Dr. Wayne was wonderful. He spent a long time with me answering all my many questions. I still feel so lucky that there is a facial plastic surgeon of his caliber in Oklahoma! He explained that he uses a vertical technique that very few surgeons use. Anyway it feels good to feel excited again and not so scared. Just 12 more days!! Also got my pre op goody bag...some creams, arnica, tape,bandages and a few other things. Sure are a lot of instructions. A little overwhelming. I will post more in a few days. I appreciate all of the comments.

Well the way he explained it is the lower face and muscles are pulled horizontally and the mid face and muscles are pulled more vertically and he said only a few surgeons in the U S do this. Anyway that is my best interpretation of what he told me. Hope this helps. Thank you so much!
