Week 9

The double dose is wearing on me. By about 4 in the afternoon I am completely spent. My body hurts...more specifically my back, knees and my hips. Getting up from a seated position on the floor is awful. I am hanging in there though.

CHOLESTEROL before I forget. My cholesterol was always elevated and my aesthetician (through her nutritionist) recommended artichoke extract. I didn't even know there was such a thing. I only had a week before my derm appt so bought some and took 2 a day for 7 days. My derm office called with my lab results and I had specifically ask about my cholesterol. For a change I heard "oh your cholesterol is fine". I'm a believer in artichoke extract and will continue to take one a day throughout my course. Maybe this helps someone else as well.

My face is looking better. Someone else mentioned that their skin looks darker and mine definitely does. My cheeks have some stubborn under the skin stuff (5 on the left and 2 on the right) that will hopefully come out soon. My darks spots are pretty much gone. The light spots from previous scabs are slowly returning to my normal color. The pores on my cheeks seem huge to me but I guess it come with the territory.

Week 6 breathing issue

I believe this is week 6 for me and I've been on 80mg for about a week and a half now. On the increased dosage, I started off with mild middle back pains that got a little worse each day until I couldn't even get comfortable lying down. It has now migrated to the right side of my back inside and hurts to breathe, stand, bend and walk. Today is a holiday but I'll be calling the derm first thing in the morning. I read on another message board how others were experiencing the same breathing problems at 80mgs but were fine once they went back down to 40. Hopefully we can do that without stopping altogether. I'm loving my progress thus far.

Week 5ish

I'm starting to lose track now. I've read that the time starts to fly by after the first month so bring it on! I had my one month appt and was bumped up from 40mg to 80mg. My derm told me to expect even more dryness and to moisturize like crazy. The Ponds extra dry works fine for me. It moisturizers without me looking greasy.

Face- still dry but not peeling or anything. It's just not oily and I must say, I LOVE IT! That lovely glow is gone unfortunately.
It really does seems to be working from the outer part inward. My jawline and forehead or clearer than they've ever been. The only thing left is on my cheeks. These are a little more stubborn. I go for another extraction on Tuesday. The last one was great and it was nice to get some of these less stubborn bumps cleaned out.

Lips - par for the course...still using Carmex religiously.

Earlobes - are dry and I do have to moisturize them but they don't peel anymore.

The only real difference I've noticed lately are headaches that I didn't have before BUT I'm battling a sinus infection right now so I honestly don't know if it's the tane or the sinuses.

I've tried to include start pics next to the current so you can see the improvement.
