Don't waste your money - it doesn't work as promised

I tried Obalon more than 3 years ago now. It involved getting 3 balloons in your stomach for 6 months.

The premise makes sense: it fills your stomach, so you're satiated with less food.

Unfortunately it doesn't work as promised. What I did experience:

- About 4 episodes of excruciating stomach pain that lasted about an hour. These were not tied to eating, they kind of started as mild discomfort that got progressively worse.

- My hunger did not change whatsoever.

- The doctor said I was supposed to be dieting in order to lose the weight. Dieting with the balloons was literally no easier than dieting without them.

- The doctor did a good job of making me feel guilty for it not working. He totally sucked.
