Last year I cut my hair very short and my scars...
Last year I cut my hair very short and my scars from the 3 previous procedure were awful . I had large FUT scars from one side of my head to the other and they were thick. My hairlie is receeding and top thinning and I have being proactive on this have 3 procedures done over the past 17 years. Last year I went into a leading hair restoration Dr here in the Newport area and had a consultation. I came out very disappointed. Dr Zeiring wanted $8000 to do a scar revision and said he may be able to get me 700-750 grafts to help fill in some frontal areas. I thought his prie was way out of the ballpark. I joined Ral Self here and did some research and Dr Pak kept coming up with the best ratings problem was he was in LA and I'm in Orange County and I hate to drive a t 5 am into LA to have a procedure done and then come home.
I grew my hair back out, covered the scars with dermatch and toppix and movedon. But the thinning was getting worse around the scars so I look up Dr Pak again and found he was sharing an office here in Newport right down the street where I lived. I went in and saw im last week we figured out a plan and I made an appointment for August 28th, yesterday to have the procedure done.
The EXACT same work that Dr Ziering wanted to do or me for $8000 thru Dr Pak was now $6000 for 1000 grafts, plus he would do the scar revision for no additional charge since they have to take the scar out anyways to get the grafts, something Dr Ziering didn't think I understood. I went in yesterday at 7 am and his team of lovely ladies were all ready to go. I read Dr Paks bio before signing and its stellar. I was given some shots in the back of my head and medication and they began. I feel asleep during the procedure and woke up and and half of it was done. They brought in PF Changes for lunch and then got back to work. To my delight Dr Pak got 1100 grafts, gave me a $500 discount for mentioning Real Self and I was done by 3. Its day 2 and I took of my bandage and can see the difference already where he has closed up the scar and filled in and working to restore my hairline. Right now I couldn't be happier. The total cost was $5500 not $8000, and I got 1100 grafts not 700. I feel like I made the best decision on this and we shall see what the results are down the road but since I have been here before I'm confident I will be happy. Goes to show you can get the best professional work done and not have to get scalped doing it. Dr Ziering was trying to hold gross and make fat cash fast. It goes to show you pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered.
