3 weeks post surgery

Still very pleased with the results.
The moles in the before photo were much more prominent without make up, of course, photo is with make up and they are lightened considerable.
Super happy with the mole removal.

Not much bruising left

Other than feeling very tight and still having to sleep on my back, I have zero complaints and those are minor at that.
Very relieved to see my eyes settling into just how they looked before minus the extra skin resting on my lashes.
Not feeling the weight of the excess skin on my lashes is so great.

Stitches removed - Day 5 (Counting day of surgery as day 1)

Had all but two stitches removed today. A little pinching/stinging but that's it and they were out fast. Still have to sleep on my back for a few more days and be very careful not to touch or rub my eyes. Excited to get back to walking tomorrow as that is my source of exercise. Will see the doctor again in one week. Still very up and so happy I had this surgery. Thanks to all the well wishers!

Dr. Shamoun is a very frank, honest and confident person and I felt completely comfortable with my choice of him for the surgery. My impression is that he is so confident of his skills he doesn't bother with selling himself or going into minute details with you. I did feel my pre-op was somewhat rushed but I don't have anything to compare it to. At the initial consultation I asked how many eyelid surgery's he had done and he simply said "tons". He isn't into self promotion and I actually like that, my feeling is that is due to a certain humility and his being a highly confident person. My friend who worked at the referral service said to beware (or at least be somewhat cautious) of super fancy websites and that high profile appearances by doctors don't mean a thing. They can get themselves on tv talk shows and the like but it doesn't necessarily follow that they are good at their craft. If you need a lot of reassurance that he is the Doctor for you and he is amazing and so forth, you might not get it directly from him, I knew in my gut and from his photos that he was right for me. I like a straightforward person because I feel that is an indication of honesty and respect for others. It was completely evident that he cared extremely about doing a great job on me, he is a true professional and I think sets a very high standard for himself. He is totally invested and takes pride in his work and is ultimately very caring. My research on him was very positive, he gets great feedback. His website is outdated and has very few photos but his book at the office is good. His staff is awesome from Yvonne, the receptionist, who is so knowledgable and answered all my questions without fail, to my nurse, Lisa, and my anesthesiologist, Jim. They were all wonderful, I can't imagine experiencing better support and care than I did from these three people. I highly recommend Dr. Shamoun, I think he is a great talent and is a man of utmost integrity. So far, I couldn't be happier. UPDATE: Almost two months post surgery and I couldn't be happier with my results. I highly recommend Dr. Shamoun and if I ever have another procedure, without question he will be my Dr. of choice.
