How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

I went to Dr Bandy for a breast augmentation in...

I went to Dr Bandy for a breast augmentation in July of 2015. Seven months after my breast augmentation, I have so much discomfort in my left breast that it has negatively impacted the two of the most valuable things in my personal life: Yoga and Sex. I am not one to quickly jump to conclusions and write a negative review. However, this issue was evident during my first post op appointment with Dr Bandy, not to mention that the entire post op appointment took less than two minutes. In those two minute she reassured me that the implant would settle and resolve itself after adequate recovery time. I am not mad or angry but rather extremely disappointed that a board certified plastic surgeon who prides herself on her work and her reputation (who btw has already asked me why I have not written a review) would charge me another $4500 to fix an error she caused in the original procedure. I am a very reasonable person and understand that with any surgery there are risks of complications but it is common practice among any doctor to do whatever they can to correct the mistake. (I have a friend who went to a different doctor for her breast augmentation. There was a similar complication and her surgeon corrected the issue and she was only responsible for the anesthesiologist fee- a very reasonable outcome if you ask me). No one can guarantee that nothing will ever go wrong, but what they can guarantee and promise is that they will be there to fix it and make things right.

This procedure was intended to enhance my life, make me feel more confident about my physical appearance and improve my sex life. Now 7 months post op, not only has it done none of these things but it has hindered all of the above to the point where I wish I never had the procedure. I have limited mobility in my left arm, am not able to work out, pick up weights, and my significant other is petrified to touch me because he does not want to worsen the pain. The reason I am writing this review is because I have already spoken to Dr Bandy, gave her the opportunity to make it right, but her offer was outrageous. After she presented me with an obscene "quote" for an additional $4500 investment to fix her mistake, I am officially offended.

In a nutshell, she lacks empathy and sympathy and does NOT take responsibility for her procedure and her work. All of this could've been resolved had she offered to make this better given it is not the appearance but rather functionality and comfortably and pain this is causing her patient. This is not something I can look past. If you are looking to go to this plastic surgeon keep your fingers crossed that everything goes PERFECTLY, otherwise you will be in the same predicament as me. When all is said and done, this procedure can and will cost you $11,500 (not including wages lost from the time taken off work to recover from TWO procedures). Tread carefully.
