I did my research on this website for a tummy...

I did my research on this website for a tummy tuck, and chose Dr. Saunders. He has a very kind bedside manner, and his personal care, communication, and availability are excellent. His staff is equally warm and welcoming. I initially was contacted by Stacey, once I sent an email through Real Self inquiring about Dr. Saunders. Stacey was very thorough, both through email and phone, of what was needed for insurance, and what to expect for downtime. She was so knowledgeable about everything from beginning to end. Eileen, bless her heart, was able to get my procedure approved through insurance with medical info provided through my PCP, explaining my condition. There were several follow-up visits to ensure I was healing well, and there I was always greeted by Christiana and Erica, who were very professional and kind to everyone who walking in. They also were excellent scheduling follow-ups timely, according to how I was healing, and I could always hear them smiling thorough the phone. They were always cheerul, even when they were super busy. Also, I was on the longer end of healing. I didn't get my drains out until 5-6 weeks later. Personal advice, the more you get up and do after surgery, the more you drain...which delays removing the drains, which are sooo annoying to drain regularly, shower around, etc. So, rest and you will really heal faster. Walking around hunched over is totally normal, and wear your binder 24/7 except to shower. These are all things that were explained to me by Tina, the sweetest medical assistant, who was so motherly and gentle when changing my dressings and binding me back up, and inspecting my incision and drain areas. Love her!

Dr. Saunders was amazing from beginning to end! His professional, warm bedside manner is impressive, and what he was able to do with my body was AMAZING. That man has pure talent and was born to do this. He sculpted a new belly button and tummy for me, and the results are magnificent. My husband is a QA Nurse, who was with me for the surgery and some follow up appointments. He agreed the tummy tuck results were amazing, but more importantly, he believes I received really, really great care from Dr. Saunders during my one night hospital stay at Wilmington Hospital, and the weeks to follow at the office. It was definitely clear to me that he truly cares for his patients and gives it 100%, which made me feel so much more comfortable, as I was healing.
