1st Time Lip Injection W/Juvederm Volbella: Perfect Results! - New York, NY

Here's the evolution of my two Juvederm sessions

The top photo is my natural lips. The middle is Volbella. This photo was taken a couple hours after I got my first injections ever. It was just one syringe. The bottom is taken 12 hours after getting almost half a syringe of Ultra XC. (Which I got a week after my Volbella.)

Loved Dr. Westreich! You can tell from his site and YouTube videos how exact and professional he is. A true artist! Super friendly as well. He was thorough in his assessment, showing me a detailed sketch of where he was going to inject and why. The procedure was simple and painless, just like he said. I like that he was going for subtle and natural per my objective. He suggested Volbella and he said if we don't feel the need to do the whole needle, I could come back to do more in a few weeks if I preferred that. He really works with you to get the look you want. I would go back to him for my lips or anything else if I ever wanted it done. Watch his videos on YouTube and you can tell how professional he is. Also, his office staff were super nice as well. It was also easy to get an appt. I called on a Tuesday and got in for Friday afternoon.

Second injection one week later but with Juvederm Ultra XC. Perfect lips now :)

After doing 1 syringe of Volbella, I decided I wanted my lower lip to be even a tad plumper. Went back to Dr. Westreich who really spent time consulting me on what the best approach would be based on look I want and price. He showed me before and afters of myself. Showed exactly where he would inject and why. He's so great and really thinks the process through to achieve exactly what you want! We decided that a 1/2 syringe of Juvederm Ultra XC at $450 would be a better way to go for the subtle additional augmention I was going for instead of doing another full Volbella at $750. So he Injected a bit to my bottom lip center and also top to define the Cupid's bow. Again, pretty painless. Did 30 mins of numbing cream and I took some Arnicare before my session. Super happy with the results. I went straight to work after. No swelling. No bruising.

Thanks for the question! I read up on Restalyne but it sounded like it needs more sculpting than Juvederm. Which worried me a bit because it would look only as good as the sculptor. After looking at before and afters, I liked the look and subtly of Juvederm Volbella. I got the 1/2 syringe of Ultra XC only after I wanted my bottom lip to be even a tad plumper a week after I got Volbella.

I like my lip shape but have wanted them to be a tad fuller although they are not thin. So when I heard of the new Volbella type of Juvederm I wanted to try it. So happy I did! They didn't bruise. It hardly hurt (felt like a pinch.) The result is natural, subtle and no bad swelling even hours later.

Thanks so much @Tyler114 ! I really attribute it to Dr. Westreich and that I was willing to go subtle and do it in small steps/small doses.
