From No Hair to Hair - New York, NY

I am a 35 year old African American woman with very curly hair. I went to see Dr. Epstein in his New York office for the fue procedure in December of 2013. It has been one year and three months since my procedure. I suffered from traction alopecia in the area above my ears and towards the back of my head on both sides of my head. I also had some thinning on the front edges of my hairline. I got 14oo grafts for $8,650. I was advised that curly hair has a curvey follicle and therefore may make the procedure a little more tedious. But I was expected to get a good result . I was not to expect my density to be like the rest of my hair or like it was when I was a 12 year old girl , and I was fine with that. I am satisfied with the growth I have. Anyone would wish and hope they would have a lot of density but for me to go from having no hair to having hair and being more comfortable and confident wearing certain styles I couldn't before, I am very pleased. Dr. Epstein and his staff was very helpful and kind. I even had a nurse wait with me and my daughter at closing time for my husband to find his way to the office in the streets of New York. All in all I give a 5 star rating. It was worth it.
