Platysmalplasty —can't wait to have a beautiful neck, profile and chin!

I had a consultation with Dr. Morrissette in Ventura, ca on 12/2/20. He was the first and only surgeon to recommend a platsymalplasty, liposuction to my chin and neck, and chin implant. I had three other consultations with board certified surgeons, and Dr. Morrissette was the only one who was honest with what procedure would achieve the outcome I dreamed of. I scheduled my procedures with him for 12/17/2020! I will continue this review as I recover. Can't wait to have a beautiful neck, profile and chin!

I had my platysmalplasty today, along with a chin implant and liposuction. I arrived to dr. Morrissette’s office at my scheduled time waited for what seemed to be forever. But, it wasn’t very long, I was super nervous and my anxiety was very heightened! Kathy the nurse has me walk w her to the operating room where dr. Morrissettte marks my face with a surgical pen and informs me of what he will be doing. Nitrous oxide started while Kathy starts my iv. Next thing I knew I was awake and super sore. My husband picked me up drove me home, I went back to sleep in my bed, and woke up again at 4:30pm. The pain is not too bad, it feels as though someone cut my chin open and possibly left a knife in to my neck, but bearable.

When I went to a follow-up appointment in 2/2021 Dr. Morrissette did not know who I was, and entered the room stating,”OK what are we looking at having done today!” That’s when his assistant stated to him I was a follow-up appointment and had already had a procedure with him. Dr. Morrissette still didn’t know what he had done to me or when he had performed my surgery. Once he reviewed his notes, while in front of me, he proceeded to say,” EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE!” I then asked him why I had so much fat remaining under my jawline and neck, since I had paid for liposuction of those areas as well. Dr. Morrissette stated,” Hmmm did I perform liposuction I don’t think I did, let me look for my markings they are usually under the ear lobes.” After carefully examining my neck and earlobes Dr. admitted by stating this, “Your right I did not perform liposuction in those areas, maybe I felt you didn’t need it, but I can revise it once your 3 months post-op and perform the liposuction then.” I was just shocked in disbelief. I said ok and left the office. I then got into my car and cried my eyes out! I felt so ugly since I paid so much $$$$ to have my neck and chin to look better and not so full of fat, but to my surprise all that I paid for wasn’t completed by Dr. Morrissette! I felt used and betrayed. I waited another month during which time I had a few new consults with plastic surgeons who could revise my neck and chin to make me happier and less depressed about the situation. I chose a doctor and proceeded to lock in my date for the revision to be done by him, this doctor made a real effort to explain to me I had to contact Dr. Morrissette’s office to explain what they had not done correctly and ask for a % of the money$$$ I paid refunded back to me. After a week or so I gathered my courage to call Dr. Morrissette’s office to explain just this. After speaking to Dr. Morrissette’s office manager who is his daughter, I was told she would call me back after discussing this situation with Dr. Morrissette. Once she contacted me back she told me Dr. Morrissette did perform liposuction and it is in the post-operative report! I asked her,” So your telling me even though Dr. Morrissette told me in front of his assistant, my husband, and myself that he didn’t perform liposuction to my jawline and neck, that Dr. Morrissette is now saying he did based off a report he may of changed to favor him so he won’t be able to refund me?” She then stated Dr. Morrissette said he performed it and if your not happy he will revise it. I then stated,” Dr. Morrissette didn’t even know who I was or why I was there during my post-op appointment so why on earth would I give him another chance to possible harm me or botch my face and if Dr. Morrissette is willing to provide a revision free of charge then why wouldn’t he be willing to give me the cost of liposuction I paid refunded back that wasn’t performed?” This lead to the office manager aka daughter of Dr. Morrissette stating there’s nothing further they can do for me. I then stated,” I will have an attorney contact you and Let Dr. morrissette know I’ll see him in court because I went through a deep depression from this and paid a lot of money to be upset and depressed over a procedure I paid for that wasn’t done!” After that Dr Morrissette’s daughter/office manager stated well I will talk to Dr. Morrissette again since you are seeking legal help and she would call me back in a couple days regarding what they can do for me. I have yet to of received a call from Dr. Morrissette’s office! Please everyone do your research, go with a board certified plastic surgeon not a DDS, I thought I had done a very extension research on Dr. Morrissette, but I was mistaken and I truly don’t want you to feel and be so depressed about something you paid for vs what you received!
