35 Year Old Needed a Little Help
I had scheduled this appointment to fill my tear troughs which I wrote about in a separate review. I asked my PS if there was some product left we could use it on my nasolabialfolds and around my dimples. To me, this hurt worse than my eyes. Something about the popping through the skin and then feeling the product being squeezed in I did not care for. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but I will say I absolutely hate needles so maybe that was part of it. It wasn’t extremely painful, it just stung and also was a new sensation I had never felt. All was good until about 3 days afterwards when a weird thing showed up on my face that looked like a vein. The color was more like a bruise but it wasn’t where I had been injected. I searched everywhere on here and couldn’t find anything similar so I’m hoping this can help someone else. My PS office returned my call very promptly and said they believe it was a vein that was pushed to the surface of the skin making it more visible. It didn’t hurt, and I couldn’t feel it through the skin but it was definitely very visible and was not there before. They told me to ice the area and massage it, and probably as the swelling went down and product settled it would go away. They were right! After about a week it completely disappeared. Even though I didn’t feel swollen I’m guessing there was some pushing that vein forward. I was panicked at first because when I was searching for answers on here I saw all the reviews for necrosis and all the other worst case scenario stuff which of course put me into a panic. But all was fine! Looking at photos I don’t feel like the injections around my mouth were as drastic as my eyes. It’s more of a subtle smoothing out. I couldn’t justify the price if I had been going for just my mouth area, but my eyes turned out great. So, if there was extra product why not? I just wouldn’t go specifically just for that unless it was more of drastic result. Let me know what you think! LIKE

It’s been 3 days since I had Juvederm Ultra in my tear troughs. I have always hated my under eyes. I always felt like I looked tired even when I wasn’t, and no amount of expensive Sephora concealers would make a difference. I have known for a long time I would like to do something about it, but I just wasn’t sure what. After reading reviews on RealSelf I got enough courage to go out there and do something about it. I made an appointment with the PS who did my breast reduction last year. My doctor said I just needed the smallest amount. So, I was able to use the rest of the syringe around my mouth which I will write a separate review for. I was extremely nervous to get this done. Luckily, my PS was very patient and gave me breaks and also water! I do not like needles at all. It was not very painful, but sometimes I did feel a deep pain. It really wasn’t bad though. I can already tell a difference. I do have some minor bruising. I can’t wait to see the final results. Here is a before and after photo with no makeup in the morning when my eyes are usually their worst!

I will always use Dr. Tarola for any procedures I have. He is great and answering questions and explaining things to me. He is very maticulous with his work. This was my second procedure with him and I can’t say enough good things!
