After a wild rollercoaster ride with my post-op care in h US, I no longer have sepsis and, with the help of a wound specialist, I’m on the mend. When all of this is said and done, the least I’ll end up paying for post-op care in the US is $6K. Worst case scenario if my insurance won’t cover anything, it will end up costing thousands more than what I paid for the surgery.
BUT on the plus side, I’ve never looked this good in my entire life. Dr. Ochoa did an amazing job. Here are my 5 week pics.
Some of the fat died from the BBL because, I don’t know what it’s like for other people, but for me, it’s been impossible to stay off my butt after a surgery this big, then add sepsis to it, and I’ve spent a lot of time laying round. I’ve been vigilant about using a BBL cushion, etc. but even with that, it wasn’t enough. If I could do it all over again, I would save the BBL and do it as a separate procedure all in its own, rather than do it with a bunch of other big procedures. Live and learn... BUT my butt still looks million times better than it is before.
The infected wound got way worse before it got better, but it’s slowly healing.

I’ve been a little negative lately because of everything that’s happened with my post op care in the US, so I’m going to share the positive side of all of this. These 3 week post-op pics. Ignore all the swelling in my abdomen. That’s the fluid build up from my drain being taken out too early. My tummy was perfectly flat before that happened. Dr. Ochoa did a great job!
