It’s an Exciting New Beginning for Me!

My Mommy Makeover with Dr. Steinwald was done in November 2019, three months ago as of this writing. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my results! I’m 63 and I recently lost 50 pounds. The weight loss, combined with the unfortunate way my weight rearranged itself after menopause had created a body that I just wasn’t happy with. To be truthful, I’ve NEVER been happy with my body. I’ve always had a Humpty Dumpty shape. I could only DREAM of having a waist.
But the Mommy Makeover is a life-changing procedure, and thanks to Dr. Steinwald, I really feel as if I have a new lease on life. I have the body of a 20-year-old now! This summer, I plan to wear a bikini on the beach for the first time in my life – and I’m going to rock it!
When I began my journey, I pored over all the reviews on Real Self – I’ve probably read hundreds – and that was where I found Dr. Steinwald. What really sealed my decision were the before-and-after pictures of his work. Utterly amazing. When I had my pre-op with him, I brought a picture of one of his own patients who had a “before” body like mine and an astounding “after” body. I said, “This is what I want.”
He said, “Oh, yes – that’s how we do it.”
And I have to say, he made my dream come true! I have a waist for the first time in my life! I’ve lost three dress sizes since the surgery; I was a 14, and now I’m an 8. I’m having a ball, buying a whole new wardrobe. Every new thing I buy looks much too tiny to fit – but when I try it on, it does fit, and I’m still amazed by that. In fact, I’ve kept a lot of clothes in my closet over the years that were much too small, but I always hoped one day I could lose enough weight to wear them again – and now I can!
I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience. The Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Golden is quite a distance from my home in New Mexico – five hours away – but the folks there are accustomed to serving out-of-town patients, and they made everything as simple and convenient as possible for me. They recommended a nearby hotel where I stayed the night before and two nights after surgery, and received a 15% discount. They arranged for the majority of my pre- and post-op appointments to be done by phone to save me the long drive. The facility is immaculate and beautiful, and all the personnel I encountered were friendly, professional and helpful. They seem to love what they do!
Even though there were plastic surgeons located closer to my home, I was willing to travel farther to get the best. But the true measure of my satisfaction is becoming a repeat customer. Now that I have this amazing figure, I need a rejuvenated face to go with it, so I’m seeing Dr. Steinwald later this year to have a facelift! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with this face, and I already know the results will be everything I hope for. He’s truly the best.
