Mommy Makeover

I just finished my pre-op appointment for my mommy makeover! 23 days and counting!! I will be having a breast augmentation (405L/425R mentor gel moderate profile unders) with a mini wedge lift as well as a tummy tuck with diastasis recti repair.

We paid our balance in full today and I'm feeling a little squeamish about that. The guilt has definitely set in! That cash could have gone to a lot of things! Things for my boys and for our home. It's hard not to think I'm being selfish. I'm hoping the guilt will subside after I see my results and finally have my body back to functioning as it should.

Now on to get my prescriptions filled, pick out a zip-up sports bra and any other supplies!!

I had the very best experience with Dr Snodgrass and Dr Robinson, as well as all of their amazing staff. They were so welcoming and made e feel at ease before my surgery. They ended up going with 425cc mentor gel moderate profile. They said it looked more proportional with the tummy tuck. I’m very interested to see how that will look for me. I am 5’2 and 139lb. I was a 34B and will update soon when I can see them again :)

The first day has actually been less painful than I expected, however I’m sure the next 2 days will be much much worse! I had little problem making it into the house, up the many stairs of our split level home. I’ve been able to get up every 1-2 hours and make small laps round the house! Been icing my breasts off and on and having to take a Percocet 5 for the soreness.

I ended up with only one drain from the tummy tuck and it hasn’t bothered me at all at this point. Dr Snodgrass also performed a mini wedge lift (incision at top portion of the aerola, lifted and resutured). With the wedge lift, he was able to do only one incision to place the implants I was so happy to hear that! I’m not sure yet if I have a vertical scar from the tummy tuck. I was a little out of it and forgot to ask.

I go back for my post op appointment tomorrow and cannot freaking wait to see what’s under this bra and binder!!
