7 weeks post op !
Well it’s been a long 7 weeks. This week I only feel more myself after. Able to fully use my arms. The left arm is still very sensitive and has a open spots . It’s scaring is tight too so I have to “walk” my fingers up the wall to stretch it and to get my full range movement back .
The tummy tuck hole is healing nicely. I clean and pack it twice a day. I really have no complaints about it.
My breast are slowly coming along as well . The open spots are healing and the swelling is going down significantly in them. I have a few areas like under my breast where I feel I may need lipo. But I am trying to be patient and wait until I am fully healed to think about it. When I say trying to be patient ... I mean it . You go through surgery and at almost 8 weeks out , it’s like you’re ready to feel all the hardworking paying off but I still see that hideous fat under my breast.
Swelling !! My goodness is swelling a B! For me diet matters. I ate chips and salsa at wedding and I was soooo swollen by the end of the night it was ridiculous . And I wore compression to the wedding.
Over all I miss sleeping in my side or belly, miss tight hugs and snuggles with my kids, and working out but this is all going o be worth it. Short time pain for huge gain .... of both Health and self worth. I’d say my experience isn’t what I expected... it has been much more difficult than imagined but I’d do it again because I am feeling better and better each week.
