I had an informative consultation with Dr. Rahban and I am scheduled for surgery this month. I will travel from NJ to Los Angeles for this surgery. I have a close friend who will help me while I recover out there. I’m nervous, but looking forward to my results.

Hi! How are you coordinating all the pre ops and post ops with travel? I’m also traveling and trying to make it the most efficient

I had the consultation over the phone via Facetime. I just traveled in a day before my pre op appointment. My surgery is tomorrow. After my surgery I will be staying in the Los Angeles area for 2 weeks before returning home to New Jersey.

Considering the same with dr. Rayban- met him this week. Would be traveling from MA so I’m curious how you manage the travel logistics which is my biggest hurdle at this point

I decided to do the consultation over the phone. Post-op I will be staying in Los Ángeles for 2 weeks before flying back home.

The night before my surgery

It’s the night before my surgery and I am very nervous. I flew into the Los Angeles area on Monday and had my pre-op appointment this morning (Tuesday). Since my consultation was online this was the first time I got a chance to meet Dr. Rahban in person. He took my measurements and we discussed my upcoming mommy makeover. We are hoping that he will be able to remove my old belly button ring opening. Also, we agreed that I did not need liposuction despite being about 20 lbs heavier than my ideal weight. He said it seems I have more muscle in my weight than fat, which is always nice to hear. He is still undecided on whether or not I need an implant. However, I am very clear that I want to have implants. I have them already and I know what size I wish my breasts to be and it definitely isn’t smaller. I prefer the size of my current breasts (including the implant) but lifted. I hope we go over this tomorrow before surgery to make sure we are on the same page. He assured me that the scars for the breast lift would not be visible in the middle of my chest, which was a relief. I definitely want to be able to wear low cut shirts without worrying about scars.

Everyone at the office was very pleasant and friendly. I picked up all necessary prescriptions from the pharmacy located downstairs. I also brought with me the Miralax and Colace I picked up in NJ. I had to start taking that prior to surgery. I also purchased the hibiclens today and it is important to shower with it the night before and day of surgery.

Also, I decided to pay for the add-on of exparel which is a long acting pain relief/numbing of the abdominal area. It is added during surgery. This was important to me for managing the post surgery discomfort. After surgery I will be staying at Serenity for post-op care. I hope to stay 2 nights but I am currently on the waitlist for the second night. That’s it! I will post my before pictures tomorrow morning before surgery.

Morning of the Big Day

Ok, I’m still nervous. I think that is natural. I just stepped out of the shower where I washed with the hibiclens for the second time. It feels weird not putting on my lotion, perfume, makeup and all the other stuff I pile on myself on a daily but it’s for a worthy cause...a clean body for surgery. This morning I also took some before pictures. I will post those now. I also plan to take some more pictures right before leaving. So, continue to check back for more updates with pictures. I love reviews that are details, so I hope to prefer other people with that same feeling in my review. Wish me good luck!
