I had surgery mid-May 2020, meaning it's been almost two years. Am I happy with my results? No. Am I glad I got the surgery? Yes.

Why am I unhappy? My breasts are noticeably uneven with one being misshapen. One is flat on the bottom, with significant scarring and a misshapen areola. I have brought this up to the surgeon, and he has stated that my breasts were uneven when I started. While this is true, I paid a lot of money for these boobs, which I did not realize meant they'd continue to be mismatched and uneven. Unfortunately, when the scar revision was done on one breast in July 2021, it made the scarring significantly worse on that breast with raised scars around my misshapen areola and a wide, hypertrophic scar under the breast. This is the misshapen breast, which makes it difficult to deal with, because it doesn't match the other breast, and it is borderline deformed.

The tummy tuck has been interesting, as well. I lost 110 lbs, so my skin is loose and soft. After the tummy tuck, I had a significant vertical line/fold down the middle of my belly. I brought this up to the surgeon, but it was not really addressed other than a comment made that I am a difficult surgery due to my weight loss and thinner skin. I have gained about twenty pounds since surgery due to COVID times, which fills out the fold and crease a bit, but before I gained weight, it was challenging to have gone through this intense surgery and still have loose, flabby skin on my abdomen. I want to lose the weight I gained, but I don't want to deal with how loose my skin still is, and I certainly don't want that crease to be exacerbated.

My tummy tuck scar is bad. I had a scar revision in July 2021, which was done in office, and basically consisted of excising the scar and then restiching the skin together again. Before that, most of my scar was raised, red, and extremely painful. My scar is still red and mostly raised, but thankfully, it's far less painful. The scarring is not the surgeon's fault, I don't believe, as my family scars poorly. But I am a little confused about it, because I addressed this concern with the surgeon before surgery, and I was told there were treatments they could do to help with the scar. It'll be a year since the revision in July, and while I still put scar gel on my scars everyday and massage them, I don't know if any additional treatments or solutions will be offered come July. I will address the scarring again at my appointment in July, but typically when I bring it up, I have been told I'll have a scar, but it's low and below my undies. I fully expected a scar. I just didn't expect a very purpley pink raised scar around more than half my hips.

So, am I happy with the outcomes for the price I paid? No. But I am glad I had surgery. I just wish I had better outcomes or at least had paid significantly less than what I paid for the outcomes I have. I definitely had much higher expectations for the price I paid. Alas.

Breast scars - 22 months/8 months

I wanted to post pictures of my current scars. The left breast is a 22 month scar. The right one is an 8 month old scar, post-scar revision. The scar spread, and is quite large. It's not painful, but it is unsightly.

I wish women would learn that when they are unhappy with what the surgeon has done…unless it’s minor, do not return to the same surgeon!! There are repetitive stories here with women returning to the same surgeon to correct the surgeons mistakes. They repeat the mistake.
Yet the surgeon here is blaming it on the patient. No, he did the incision.

I hope you don’t return to this surgeon and seek a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and check your states medical board to ensure he or she doesn’t have any pending lawsuits. Check every site. Yelp, Google etc for reviews and patterns.
Good luck to you!!
