Day 13 Photos

I still have a large area on my right breast (the right side of it) that is numb. And I found this taught area on my right breast under my armpit. Almost feels like a tendon (I know it's not, but the only way to describe it). I'm going in on Monday for my second post-op appointment. I'm excited for them to see my improvement! Also, I am developing some itching, so I am going to ask what I can do, maybe eat more fish? Anyways, here are the photos!

Been awhile

So far everything has been healing and doing great! My steri-strips are starting to fall off and I got a glimpse of my incisions. Which are tiny, pink and healthy. I can only see like, a couple millimeters of the vertical area under my right nipple. Really the only thing that is bothering me, is that on my right breast, there is a somewhat large area that is completely numb. Has anyone else had this happen? It's almost the complete right side of my right breast.

Day 5: Some exercise and some much needed "landscaping"

Day 5:
I woke up super groggy from the narcotics I took at 1am, but I felt rested. I got out of bed early, around 6am. I actually went to the bathroom after saying good morning to Wilfred, and took my bra off just to look. It’s still amazing the change. And how little it actually hurts now! I would put the pain level on the same level with, like…pulling something in my back. You are just very aware of it. No pain meds this morning, I would rather be aware of my pain so I don’t do something stupid and hurt myself. But Just looking at my body is amazing. Just like most women, I’ve spent hours and hours of my life looking at my body, sizing it up, and poking and prodding. It feels so weird, almost like the skin is numb, or fake. And now, it’s like I have a brand new body. I am just fascinated by it! Also some of my rash area under my arm from my biopsy has started to flake away. So gross. Anyways, I then made myself a nice sunny side up egg, and a smoked salmon bagel sandwich with onions, capers and tomatoes. I could only finish one on the bagel sides and put the other in the fridge which I finished about 3 hours later. I made myself comfy on the couch, and updated my profile here. And then I did some freelance design work that was long overdue. And some icing time. After this I feel like a nap is coming on soon…maybe after The Price is Right (it’s raining outside)!

I was able to nap for a little bit. But more exciting was we all went for a walk when Paul got home. He held the pups’ leashes (but they are so well behaved and well trained I probably could have…but my PS said no). Poor Wilfred was so confused, he didn’t know who to “heel” to so he walked next to me even though his daddy had his leash. I had to be very careful about how I walked, so not to jostle my breast. I felt like I was in marching band again! It was a really slow walk. Just over a mile in 30 minutes. I was so worn out. I had a couple shooting pains in my breasts towards my nipples, but nothing major. I then took a shower with the help of Paul, which was amazing! Having missed my shower the day before, I was pretty rank. And I had finally had enough of this body hair! So after my shower, Paul got me set up in the bath tub. I only filled it up enough to cover my legs and didn’t submerge my breasts. But I was able to shave and it felt like I lost 5 pounds of body hair! Oh it felt great! I just finished dinner, left overs from going out last night, and I will probably ice again. As you can see my bruising has gone down a lot, but I have to keep it up! I have noticed that the bruising on the inside of my left breast is much worse than my right. I will try to ice it more.
