Hi everyone! so everything has been going really great, feeling great, feeling like myself again. have been working out for 2 weeks with very light weights 25 minutes only non-impact. was cleared by my doctor to jog by 8 weeks post-op. I will increase my weights then and probably start P90X at a slow pace and still at about half the weight I was used to doing. No ab specific work probably till 12 weeks post op. I'm no longer so interested in Fat Loss or weight loss as I am about building some muscle so I will be upping my calories and my carbs a little bit to gain some muscle mass which will sculpt my body much better but of course I'm still healing so I will not be going full out. Yall workout junkies get me :).I have noticed that at two weeks or three I was even flatter in the morning, but my belly button has gone in, I was worried a little bit about that . my scar looks less dark but more red but they say that's normal, the peak of redness is between six and eight weeks I know it's going to be a lot thinner and better-looking later on. I'm wondering though if you girls have experienced the puffiness above the incision line it's almost as if I have a ridge going up it's not flat like the rest below the incision I'm thinking it's just puffiness from increased activity and the fact that I am sitting down almost all day on the computer so I've been trying to lift my legs up a bit to see if this helps but if any of you have experienced this Id like to know and how long it took for it to resolve. Happy healing everyone!

Have you thought about using Embrace? You still have time to help your scar if you want!

You're bb came out super cute! And yes, I have the same issue with swelling right above my incision line so it looks like I have a little"ledge" there. This happens especially after I work out or exert. I am 6 months out and still swell. I'm not wearing compression but I have found that if I throw my CG on when I'm particularly swollen it does help it go down.

Oh wow even after 6 months? :( did you ps say it will go away? Could it be lymph back up. Thanks for the comment!

It can take up to a full year for your body to normalize. I was told by my PS and have read that lymphatic massage can never hurt! Just make sure that you clear it with your PS first!

4 weeks, working out slow

angeleyez0800
Hi yall! Im 4 weeks post op today. Everything has been going good. My scar area is starting to flatten out more and the scab falling off. My belly button looks smaller. I have a dog ear on the left and maybe a very small one on the right. Today i worked out for the first time okd by dr office. Just 5 lb weights (i usually 20-25 lbs per arm) for 25 minutes. I did my beachbody T25 workout Gamma Rip-T. I did no push ups and avoided straining my abs. I also went very slow. It felt good to get moving again! I plan to do this workout for a month slowly working the weights up. I plan on adding some brisk walking 2 times a week as well till i can jog again when okd by the doctor. I tend to swell alot above the incision and today im more swollen around my hips than usual. But i think im retaining at least 3 lbs water weight. Im at 126 lbs today. That usually happens to me if i drink to much on the weekend :* . Hoping my hips start looking better. I started wearing my cg today. I was scared to do it any sooner since the last time my belly button incision opened. It doesnt feel as tight as before though. Plan to wear it for 4 weeks then will just wear it while at home or if im swelling. Happy healing!

you look fabulous! getting mine done in May. thank you for the review! I don’t know if I missed it, but when did you get back to work?
March 8, 2018
I work from home so had the surgery thursday and was working at home on my computer by Monday. Honestly as good as my recovery was if I had to go to the office in person i would have waited till 3 weeks post op when I felt more myself.

Progress, swelling, scar

angeleyez0800
Hi yall! Hope everyone is doing great. Im 2 weeks post. I knew getting into this i had to be patient but its so hard lol. The swelling is up and down but still very swollen around the incision so i can only imagine how thin i will look later on! My curves are showing more too and even some muscle definition i had yay! It still amazes me how flat i am despite swelling. Im sticking to high panties and my binder for another week b4 trying the faja again so my incision is not as sensitive and the swelling has gone down some more so it fits better ( there is such a thing as to tight!). Im posting pics. My scar looks dark cause i have a scab which with time will fall off and be red. Ive started using biocorneum scar therapy. Ive used it even on an old scar still on my belly and its only been 4 days and that one looks lighter already! Pretty cool. I wish i could do lymphatic massages cause i think it would help the lower belly swell but per PS not yet cause i had tissue glue on my flap to my muscle so will have to wait. I also swear i can see the difference in swelling in the morning when i drink my cucumber apple ginger turmeric pepper pressed juice twice a day. My abs feel a little sore from increased daily activity but over all im good. I started driving 3 days ago and not to bad. Will keep yall posted. Happy healing!

Looking great!

You look great!! I also had a bowel resection surgery and spent 7 days in the hospital. How would you compare the TT recovery to the bowel surgery recovery?
February 17, 2018
Honestly i had no real pain from the tt. Some burning sensation , lots of swelling and you have to just take it easy. But compared to the bowel resection and hysterectomy this was a walk i the park. I honestly think not havong lipo made my recovery much easier. Some lipo would have mad my results even better but im pretty happy...

Your results are perfect! Thank you for comparing the two surgeries, I’m now more at ease.
