As a child I was always made fun of for having a large forehead. I've always hated my look. In 2002, I was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemo. Although many years have passed, I noticed my hair got weaker and for some reason my forehead even looked bigger. I was losing my hair. On Dec of 2016, I met Dr. Epstein. I had read so many wonderful reviews, but I was still skeptical and wanted to meet him in person, so I took a trip to his Miami office. That meeting changed my life. I am a new woman and feel great. The moment I walked into his office I was greeted by a wonderful staff. I wanted so much to meet Roxy, his assistant, who contacted me several times via phone and email to make my trip a bit easier. She even gave me names of the good hotels nearby. She was all I expected. A true sweetheart. The rest of his staff was just as sweet and very helpful, always willing to help with a smile on there face. Finally, I met Dr. Epstein. His attention to detail and making me feel comfortable about the procedure went beyond expectations. I had no doubts at that moment that I chose the best of the best. I was put on medication to strengthen my hair follicles due to my hair loss problem. I see a lot less hair on my brush. It is definitely working. On January 13th, I underwent a forehead reduction with a brow lift. I admit, that night I regret it due to the severe pain I was in. My stomach didn't do well with the Percocet (pain killer) I was given, so it let it out and I was left with no pain killers in my system. I couldn't believe the pain I was in. I had no choice but to call Dr. E. It was late by the time I called, so I left him a message. I was so happy when my phone rang and it was Dr. E, on the other end. He quickly returned my call. He told me to just take the Tylenol with Codeine and 2 Aleves and stop the Percocet. It worked like a charm and I was able to rest. The next morning I received a text message from Dr. Epstein. He was checking up on me once again to make sure I was comfortable. Communication during the process was top notch. His staff as well, contacted me on a regular. I felt really special. Today, I feel much better. I'm happy and I'm not afraid of letting the wind blow my hair back. The pain was worth it. I have no regrets. I got the stitches removed only 2 days ago, so I'm a bit soar in the area. I'm Combing my hair towards the front to cover the incision although it's very thin and barely noticeable. But soon I will be able to put it up and do as I want with it. Dr. Epstein's hands and his attention to detail, must be a gift of God. I will always be grateful to him for changing my life.
May God continue to bless him and his talent, as well as his wonderful staff.

Hi! Keep the faith! The healing process goes on for a while, you'll see improvements as the months go by. I had my procedure in May, with Dr. Epstein. His staff is very nice and attentive, as well as Dr. Epstein. Good luck with your process, just allow your body to heal. It takes time. Mine is still healing on the inside, my scar is gone. The Top of my head is still numb but it's a smaller portion...I'm getting the feeling back gradually. One thing I will say is when it starts itching, wear a scarf or something to try not to scratch in your sleep! In October I went through about a week of serious itching. I scratched out my hair along my incision. So, it's regrowing now. Glad your procedure went well!

Hi. Wow, thank you so much. I will definitely keep that in mind. Im not itching yet, but now I'll expect it. I'm so happy to hear you had your procedure done with Dr. Epstein and it went well for you. I have my post op appointment with him on April 12. I'm taking advantage and going on vacation to Florida. Im going to continue taking Viviscal until I see him again. Hopefully my hair will be stronger by then and I may not need them anymore. I do see a lot less hair on my brush. Again thank you. Let me know when you get your sensation back. My head is still numbed as well. But I was prepared for that. Good luck with your healing process.

Dented scars

So, I had my stitches removed 3days ago. I'm very pleased with my forehead size and I was told the dented scars will go away. Till that happens, I will continue to cover up my forehead with some hair combed towards the front. My question to anyone who can help is, "how long before those small dents on my forehead go away?"

Glad that you had a successful surgery and that you are happy with the outcome! They dents should go away within a few weeks. I had the surgery also and mine went away within 3 days, but of course, everyone heals differently. Again, glad that you are happy w/ the outcome!

Wow, good for you. 3 days? That's awesome. Thank you for keeping me calm. Lol. I was beginning to panic.

Do you mind sharing what meds he put you on to halt hair loss? I am considering a consult with Dr. Epstein to correct my awful scarring from my hairline browlift and forehead shortening. You incision looks great and healing so nicely. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Hello. I'm sorry to hear you have an awful scar. I'm sure you can get a second opinion from Dr. Epstein. My experience with him was amazing. The medication he put me on for hair loss is Viviscal. It's working well, however, you should talk to him first because there are several options and everyone is different. When do you plan on meeting with him? Keep me posted. I wish you the best.

Thank you. Right now financially it's not feasible to see him yet. I am grateful you are sharing your experience here. Are you local in Florida?

I share my experience because others also helped me decide and I want to be just as helpful. I do not live in Florida. I live in New York, but I wanted to meet him so I made the trip. He also has a location in NYC, although he only travels here several times a year I believe. I had the surgery in his office in NYC. I will travel to Miami again for my post op appointment in April. I take advantage and take a nice vacation while I'm there. Lol. He has a fee to see him but it will go towards your procedure if you decide to go ahead with it. He can also do FaceTime and Skype. I'm not used to that and that's why I preferred to travel. Now that I met him and love his work, I'd have no problem using face time if I cant travel. Let me know how it goes when you meet him. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and hope you are as satisfied as I was. Roxy, his assistant is a true sweetheart and always willing to answer any question you have. Good luck...

They will definitely relax and flatten out, it could be a week or so depending on how you heal. You look wonderful, keep the faith, it's all about the healing and you are well on the way.

Hi. I am doing well, thanks. I just got back from Miami. I went for my post op appointment with Dr. E. I'm very pleased. My itching is getting worst but I just smack my head and don't scratch. Lol. I was told this would happen. I'm posting the latest pic.

The healing is going well. I'm constantly itching but I don't scratch. I rather smack my head. Lol. I had a much bigger forehead. I feel and look so different. That makes me very happy.
