41 Yr Old with Genetically Thin Eyebrows - Miami, FL

Never in a million years would I have thought of getting a hair transplant. When I thought of transplants, I thought of older, balding men. But, when I noticed that I was looking different in my pictures because of a lack of eyebrows, I knew I had to do something. I researched permanent make-up for several months and found a specialist who traveled around the world teaching the hair-stroke technique (more natural hair-like look). I ended up not having the procedure because my skin tone was not ideal and the long-term care of the tattoo meant no sun, sweating, salt or chlorine water for life. If I did have a normal life and went to the beach, worked out, swam in my pool or just walked around in sunny Florida, I would risk altering the appearance and longevity of the tattoo eyebrows. So, I researched my options and transplants kept coming up. I wanted to have eyebrows but I didn't want to sacrifice my lifestyle or change my appearance for the worse. I searched the doctors that did hair transplants and went on a couple of consultations. The places I went to did not specialize in eyebrows but stated that they did do them. I knew he was the one! I watched all his YouTube videos on eyebrow transplants, I read all his reviews on Vitals and on Realself.com. From the phone consult with Roxy to the sweet, welcoming greeting from Danny when I arrived at the office, to the one-on-one consult with Dr. Epstein himself, I knew I was in the right place. The office was warm and inviting. The staff was professional and caring. Dr. Epstein took his time listening to what I desired in my new eyebrows. He looked at pics that I brought in and discussed what would look best according to the structure of my face; he was very patient. Once he measured and drew my brows in (I don't have the skill to draw them) I was on my way. I was going to need about 700 grafts and I decided to do the FUE technique which does not require a long cut to the back of my head. The staff was wonderful! Lourdes was so sweet! She sat and patted my arm as I was getting the numbing injection, which stung pretty bad. But she sat there and talked to me as if we were old friends catching up on lost time. I loved her!!! Elsa was one of the girls that not only extracted the grafts from my head but later put them into the precise incisions that Dr. Epstein made for them. She was a truly the best part of it all. She was very knowledgeable in what she was doing. She was patient and caring and very sensitive to my comfort. She stopped a couple of times and had me look to see if the progress was what I wanted. Dr. Epstein came in several times and, between the 3 of us, shaped the eyebrows to my desired look. They were both very professional, and very tolerable. I am very picky and they never made me feel as if I were asking too much. Everyone that was in that office building just had a favorable demeanor to them. Everyone seemed to enjoy where they worked and what they did. When you have that type of environment you know you are in the right place. I would highly recommend anyone considering eyebrow tattooing to not even bother with it. When you have found the perfect solution to your problem, why go anywhere else?
