When I was in the fifth grade my cousin and I were playing around when her head collided with mine and I ended up with a broken nose. Now that I am 24 years old (after years of wanting to fix it but being too scared to actually go through with it) I decided it was time. I am now 2 days post op and I am LOVING my new nose already! I have very little swelling and essentially no bruising. I've only taken my pain meds a couple of times as I need them to help me sleep at night. As I said earlier I was terrified to go through with the surgery and have heavily contemplated it for almost 7 years! Now that it is finally over I wish I would have done it sooner! I'm excited to see the final result next week and would definitely recommend this procedure and my surgeon to anyone!

Well I figured I would go ahead and post a brief update since I'm a bit bored ;) I am usually such a busy body that staying inside and laying on the couch for days on end is a little tough for me! Today was the first day I felt a little pain, which felt like a mild/dull sinus headache. I took some Tylenol and things are back to normal! What little swelling I received doesn't seem to be any worse or any better since yesterday but breathing through my nose is becoming easier and easier as time goes on. I am scheduled for cast removal Thursday of next week at 2 which is making me surprisingly NERVOUS! Everything has gone so smoothly that it has me thinking, "this has to be too good to be true! Something has to go wrong, right?" I hope not, but I do tend to be a bit of a worry wart at times. Needless to say, I am ready for the big reveal so I can see my new nose and finally put my nerves to rest!

Day 5- well I am feeling miserable. Yesterday I was glued to my couch all day with a raging headache and cold sweats/chills. Unfortunately not only does today not seem like it is going to be any better, I am feeling worse! My stomache is very upset and just the smell of breakfast being made is enough to make me lose it :( I am not having any pain in regards to my nose and the swelling and bruising have seem to gone down quite a bit so I guess that is good..I hope I start feeling better soon because this is really bumming me out! So over this process and ready to move on..
