After my 3 children left the nest, I gave myself the gift of a breast augmentation. Unfortunately, my first set of breast implants were too small for my body size and I elected to have larger ones put in several years later by a different surgeon. Well, two surgeries later I was in a lot of pain. I had had two consecutive cases of capsular contracture. That outcome was due in part, possibly, by decisions and skill level of the surgeons as well as my body's response to surgery. I started doing my research to find a doctor that had the most experience with severe cases of capsular contracture. I'm in my 60's and didn't have many options left. After interviewing 4 local surgeons and three out of state surgeons, I decided to have Dr. Grant Stevens perform my revision. After I interviewed him I was certain he was the most knowledgeable and practiced doctor at performing this successful breast implant revision. He may well be one of the most skilled surgeons for this procedure in the U.S. and the world.

I've waited 8 months to write this review because I wanted to be able to say unequivocably that the surgery result was a success. It takes this long to really be sure and I'm writing to help anyone out there, who has capsular contracture to consider a surgeon who has a lot of experience using the breast hammock revision technique. My procedure worked beautifully, and Dr.Stevens is worth every penny. My breasts are works of art ( I'm a classically trained figurative painter) and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience with Dr. Stevens and his staff. Even if the outcome had not been successful, I would have written an excellent review for this doctor. He is one of the most skilled surgeons for this procedure in the world, and his staff deserves the same high remarks of commendation for the warm efficiency, maturity, and all around expertise demonstrated in handling the details of my case.

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

Dear Sheila S,
I will be posting an updated review for this doctor as well as a new review for one of his medical technicians. I will post pictures of my breast surgery then - I need a few days to get the photos together.

Sorry for such a late reply! Life got in my way after the original posting and I haven't been on this site in two years. I will be happy to render photos and additional details about my wonderful experience with Dr. Stevens and his staff.

Sincerely,
Pati

Dear In A State Of Insanity,
Shortly after my posting two years ago, I was in a rather serious accident and never came back on this site until today. I'm doing great now, and am just seeing your reply. I am so sorry to not have been able to post pictures - i just didn't think to do it. I am contacting Dr. Steven's office for before photos and will post the afters as well as soon as I have a chance. Perhaps, and probably none of this is relevant for you now, but I hope you are well. I wanted to respond anyway :)

Pics are coming in a couple of days....and i ain't gonna lie to ya, they look pretty great. Even better now than two years ago :)

Wonderful Breast Revision Result And Experience With Photos

Pati Springmeyer
Right after my last posting regarding my breast revision I was in an accident and recovery took sometime. It was just a month ago that I came back on this site and see that people were requesting photos so I want to follow up now that I'm back in the saddle. I might add that I could not have had a more wonderful experience with my breast revision. There was such care by the staff and Dr. Stevens and his artistic sensibility is evident in the photos I'm posting. I will be posting another review shortly about how Dr. Stevens and his medical technician Cory Felbur saved me from the worst hypertrophic scarring all over my hands and arms. If it weren't for this place, I would still be in a world of hurt.

Hey! Just wondering what your dr did to prevent the CC from returning this time around? I've already had my capsules removed and while it hasn't been confirmed that I have CC, something strange is going on. My PS will do everything to fix me up and make things good again, but my fear is it returning. So I'm wondering what your surgeon did do fix it, such as capsule removal, textured implants, that sort of thing. And how is it this time it didn't return? Thanks for your help!!!
