I Can't Put in Words How Thankful I Am...

Where do I start?? From consult to discharge I am beyond satisfied with the professionalism, knowledge and empathy that not only Dr Baron displayed but her office genuinely cared about me 'Charlotte'. Dr. Baron was very direct, yet approachable and willing to answer any question or concerns I had and encouraged me to ask questions. I am BRACA postive with a strong family history of breast and ovarian cancer. I had a bilateral mastectomy and breast Recon with expanders / implants in 2015. I was never happy with my appearance nor comfortable with the feeling of the implants not to mention I had 2 reconstruction with replacement implants that same year. I experience extreme anxiety issues and pre-surgery gitters were at an all time high, but when she peeked her head in the presurgical waiting area I felt the anxieties start to fade away. My surgery was over 12 hours although to me it felt like a long nap.
Now as far as my reconstruction results I literally cried when I seen what she and her team had done. I looked down and seen my new soft, warm, pretty breast, they were MINES, no more hiding while getting dressed, wearing padded bras I felt whole, again not to mention my new flatter tummy. I can't explain , I was just so happy ..I am ready to take control of my life, travel, see the world, yep a procedure changed my life ..when I thought I was doomed to settle with what life had dealt me in this as well as in other aspects of my life as well. She made lemonade out of the lemons and that there is a silver lining in ifvyour willibg to find it. I am a walking billboard for her and her work I love her for giving me my confidence and looking forward to living and never settling for what life I am a testimony - Thank you Aisha Baron Mc Knight-- "I'm living my best life"
