Dr. Markarian is THE MAN.
Background: I’m a single, 6’2”, 42-year-old guy who weighed about 280 three years ago but managed through diet and exercise to gradually drop down to 200 even. Proud as I was, I had trouble fully enjoying my success because of the flabby skin around my midsection.
I’d been seriously considering a male tummy tuck for about a year, but was naturally concerned that the results, even if decent, wouldn’t justify the cost. I am hardly rich, and I often joked that getting the procedure would mean pushing back my retirement 2-3 years (may not be far off in my case).
So I did lots of research, saw many before and after pics that, at best, didn’t strike me as significant improvements. I found Dr. M online. I liked that he was Harvard-trained and that he offered free virtual consultations (I sent him my photos and other info beforehand). After reviewing my situation and options with me, I felt it was worth coming in for an in-person, follow-up consult.
Long story short, he convinced me that I was a good candidate for the tummy tuck and was confident that I would be happy with the results.
And boy was he right.
First, let me cover the peripheral stuff. He and his staff are very professional, attentive, responsive, etc. This did a lot to inspire confidence in the big decision I was making. They explained the costs and how payments worked, simplified processes as much as possible, and above all made sure I was not hit with any surprise costs down the line. Dr. M is a fun guy, very positive, inspires confidence. He always answered my flurry of questions—he tends to talk fast so I recommend not being shy about interrupting to get your all your questions in.
Operation day went smoothly. Recovery was more challenging than I expected, but the staff and doc were available to field my questions during and in between follow-ups.
Of course, none of this would matter much if I wasn’t pleased with the results. And I am more than pleased. I am thrilled.
Even a mere two weeks after the procedure, with plenty of swelling yet to dissipate, my whole waist and stomach area looked so shapely and awesome, and it just got better and better.
I am so happy now every time I look in the mirror. I am more motivated than ever to keep taking care of my body if only to preserve this shape. I’m wearing tighter shirts. I’m more confident on dates. I even accented my new bod with some new tattoos (which is why certain tats are absent in my earlier photos).
Honestly, the best compliment I can give Dr. Markarian and his work is that it was *totally* worth the investment of money, time, discomfort from recovery, everything. Thank you Dr. Markarian for making me look and feel 15 years younger!
