I met w/ Dr. Tansavatdi (Dr. T) because I had strongly disliked the look of my nose since I was a child. It had a bulbous tip and a hanging columella. As I have aged, the nose has gotten worse looking. I have also had breathing problems for the last seven or so years. When I'd run or do any exercise I felt like I had to mouth breath.I always felt like my nasal breathing was obstructed and I yearned to be able to take in a clear, strong breath of fresh air. The third reason I decided to get a consultation is because my eyelids were sagging heavily. I searched for plastic surgeons in the Conejo Valley online and I read every review out there on every plastic surgeon in the area. I then watched her videos and I could tell she is an approachable person and I wouldn't feel intimidated by her. At my consultation I couldn't believe how welcoming and sweet everyone is in the office. They immediately greeted me and made me feel comfortable. During the consultation w/ Dr. T, she sat next to me and intently listened to my concerns. I asked her to be authentic and tell me the honest truth and not worry about my feelings. She was honest, compassionate and kind w/ her evaluations. She told me exactly what she could and could NOT do to change my nose. She showed me what my nose would most likely look like after surgery. We reviewed what having an endoscopic eyebrow lift would do for my face. She told me that she aims for a natural look which is what I definitely wanted. After the appointment I drove home and dreaded the fact that my husband wanted me to get three consultations. I just had a strong feeling that she was the one to help improve my breathing, the look of my nose and also the sagging eyelids. I received an estimate of the costs of all the procedures and I was told that they would give me time to consider my options. They didn't pressure me, but the next day I informed the staff that I wanted to move forward w/ the procedures. My husband urged me to get two more consultations and he told me it upset him that I refused. Obviously he had not met Dr. T. I did inform the staff of my husband's concerns and Dr. T said she would be happy to meet with him one on one. I want to tell you why I chose Dr. T. I got the feeling just by talking w/ her that she is someone I would trust with a beloved family member's life. I asked myself, "Would I want Dr. T to do surgery on my daughter?" My answer was an emphatic "YES!" I knew that I had to make the right decision because I have a ten year old daughter that needs her mother. I knew my daughter was scared that I wouldn't make it through surgery although I am a healthy female. The night before the procedures I became nervous about having surgery but I made myself remember how I felt about Dr. T and her skills. I had reviewed all the before & after photos online and I loved the work she had done on people. The morning of the procedure she was on time to surgery and calmed my nerves. I also liked the anesthesiologist Dr. Teri Namba. The surgery went well and my husband and daughter picked me up later that day. My husband had already talked to Dr. T on the phone and she had assured him that everything had gone well. As I was being discharged Dr. T came to see me and met my husband and daughter. My husband has since admitted I made the best decision choosing Dr. T. Everything went well with my recovery. Yesterday my staples, stitches and bandages were removed and I was able to see my nose. My nose, my now beautiful nose. As I saw my new nose I started to cry with emotion and thanked Dr. T. I can not believe how beautifully natural my nose looks. My nose no longer feels obstructed either and I feel like I'm getting adequate oxygen without having to mouth breath. My eyelids are no longer sagging and I look refreshed instead of having a tired look. My friends have stated how natural my appearance looks and how quickly I healed. I can not say enough good things about Dr. T. She will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you Dr. T, you're amazing!!!
