At the end of last year, I decided to try to improve on my hairline. I knew that it would never be the same as it once was, and in my opinion I have realistic goals based on other testimonials via realself. I have to say that it is way too early to tell what my result will be and I am seeing a small change, but nothing anyone can notice.
My experience with the doc is really why I am writing this review. I chose him based on credentials and that he's a specialist in the feild. He was very friendly, and what I would consider direct. Pre op I discussed my biggest concerns with him which was: doing the front hairline AND the thinning spot on the back of my head. I didnt care how much it costed, i just wanted to adress both issues. In my opinion it's one in the same, you can't do a boob job and do one boob. So on and so on-- and he reassured me he understood.
The next day I was very disappointed to find he did only my front hairline. I was reimbursed completely but This is exactly what we talked about the day before. I was awake for the procedure, but sedated. The doc was in and out of the surgery room. He just popped the hairs out and the helpers were doing most of the work. I could hear him doing other consultations and appointments. It left a teally bad taste in my mouth because i didnt even get what i asked for. It was 1000 grafts short, and the whole thing felt half assed. Compared to other surgeons 2500 grafts is nothing !! It felt like he was just pumping as many people through there as possible.
I had a TERRIBLE post op experience. I was prescribed Xanax AND painkillers and became seriously ill. He said I would be out and about the same day if not the next day. I was vomiting aND could hardly open my eyes to eat for three days. I stopped taking medications and was fine. I have a high tolerance, I'm not some sissylala and it takes a lot to put me out like that...
My post op visit was dissapointing as well. He seemed like a nice guy but totally minimized our previous discussions and basically said to deal with it and he'd try again next a year. Exactly the opposite of what he said. I felt pacified and disreguarded. Needless to say I wish I went somewhere else, where the docs are doing 4,5 and even 6k grafts at a time and really taking the time to adress each individuals goals. I have seen on others what 1500 grafts looks like and I already know I will be going somewhere else in the future. I would have payed more for a job well done. Whatever was necessary. I am surprised that I am the only person who felt this way in a review. Or at least took the time to write the review.
