WORTH IT
I had struggled with vaginismus all my life. It wasn't until a couple of months ago I realized that botox was an option. Its been about 3 weeks since the procedure and I've already been able to use larger dilators without any struggle- something I couldn't even dream of before this was done. If you are struggling with vaginismus, and have tried conventional therapies without any luck, I would recommend at least looking into this as an option.

How are you feeling now? I am considering traveling to LA to get this done. How much was it?

I'm feeling well, still happy with my results and outcome. I believe cost does depend on how much botox the physician believes you need based on the physical exam. The office staff is very helpful answering your questions and concerns if you have specific questions about the process in general. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for replying! Do you live in LA or did you have to travel? I am in San Francisco and am really considering getting this done asap. I keep getting sent to PT, this is now 2nd round for me in 2 years and it just doesn't help. I can not have sex :(

No I had to travel from the east coast. If you contact the office, I had given them permission to give my contact information out to potential patients for the procedure if they wanted to me to talk to them. If you want to talk it might be helpful if I can tell you about my experience.

Oh wow that would be amazing. I have a consult with the doc and will definitely ask for your info after later this month.

Sounds good. I'll remind them as well.

Vaginismus is not a thing. I was misdiagnosed with it for more than 20 years, when I needed a simple surgery. Of course, no one believed me until it was too late for a lot of things. I beg you to follow your gut if you don't think it's in your head--find a practitioner who will listen. The mental "condition" is not in the current DSM or the prior, because research doesn't support the idea of "vaginal spasm" preventing intercourse. Again: I needed a simple surgery and that was ALL. I had no mental condition in the end, other than the unbelievable trauma caused by gaslighting specialists and years of questioning my reality as I attempted to fix a problem I never had.
