I keep debating in between just getting lipo due to the scar of the tummy tuck but then everyone tells me I will be mad if going through all this I don't get the outcome I want. After looking at a ton of pictures on this site I've paid and have my tummy tuck/lipo on 4/4/14 after having my 4 children, youngest is 7, oldest is 23. Less than 48 hours! I'm doing tummy tuck with NO DRAINS, new technology my PS says. Any advice is gladly accepted! Thx

I think you look great! I have researched the new procedure I think you are talking about. You are the perfect candidate because you don't have extreme excess skin or bulging tummy muscles. I'm confident it will look great!

I know exactly what you mean about the pain being worse then you thought. Im 4 weeks po but that 1st week was absolute Hell! On a scale of 1-10 it was a 20..easily!! It does get better but even at 4 weeks im still very sore in tummy area and cant stand up straight yet. The incision, even though it opened up, doesnt hurt...its still numb...anyway..hang in there..it SLOWLY gets better.

Omg yes a 20 on pain! I have the Dr and gave me muscle relaxer which really helped finally! The vicodin and percocet barely helped!
April 6, 2014
Yes, the muscle relaxers help more than the pain meds..I still take the muscle relaxers especially at bedtime, and im far enough out now I can use Motrin for pain and it works better than the Norco did for me. I wasnt given the ok to use Motrin until last week. I had TT with muscle repair and lipo on my hips, flanks and upper back. Worst pain I havecever experienced..and im a pretty tough girl! Hang in there and im happy to ans any questions you may have :-)

Wow, ok thank you, all good to know info!!!

I'm 2 weeks post op from having a no drain TT. Everything is going great! The first 5 days were the worst for me. Just remember to drink a lot of water, keep stool softners handy and get up and walk as soon as you can :) I was told The no drain TT supposedly has less chance of infection and the best thing is no drains! Good luck with your recovery!

Just got home from surgery and wow, pain. And very weird feeling an elephant on my stomach. I don't know if I could do 5 days of this.
April 4, 2014
Sorry :( it gets better! Promise! Make sure you take your pain meds as directed.. Even if you feel you don't need them. Stay ahead of the pain. Each day it gets better. The mornings are the worst for me because you're stiff. Feel better and know the end result will be well worth it even though it doesn't feel like that right now.

Had TT and lipo of sides and stomach this morning. In pain but vicodin does help most of it, it's just very uncomfortable and weird to try to move, and obviously I can't move but even the little moves. Posted picture of my back right cheek, didn't have lipo on butt but guess it's from lipo on hips. But why is my right side so bruised and the left not I'm wondering?

hope you're feeling better. are you taking any stool softeners? are you having gas pains? OMG i'm dreading that one

I did Metamucil for 3 days before. Not really any gas pains yet. I had a chocolate Ensure and don't think I should've drank the whole thing though.

Hey hon, congrats on your surgery! I had a drainless TT 5 wks ago with muscle repair and lipo on the flanks & mid back. Just make sure to take your meds on time and stay well hydrated. You'll be feeling better in a few days but make sure you don't over do it when you do..... that's how a lot of us girls end up hurting ourselves. I went back to work after 2 wks but really wish I would have waited til 3 wks. Your bruising looks normal. ..I also bruised more on one side and was draining from only my left lipo site... it all was fine and gone in a few days. Happy healing

Thank you. I just had to cough because water went down wrong and wow!! Ok, I'll believe you, hope this pain goes away soon. Thank you so much for the feedback.

2nd day and wow the pain!!

The morning was very difficult to get up, felt like everything was falling on my stomach. I got up and walked yesterday around the house about 7 times, I wonder if that was too much. I am switching from vicodin to percocet, maybe that will help. I didn't realize pain was going to be so great and weird, breast augmentation was nothing compared to this!!!

ThanK you. Seems yesterday was better than today, guess the medicine was still working from surgery. 2nd day worse and vicodin wasn't doing so much, feels like stinging and heavy pain, yikes! I should've asked about pain pump. Thank you though.
