Feeling better every day
Feeling like a new woman!
OH MY GOSH! I LOVE my new body! I thought originally that I would hate the scar and regret something so permanent but I love that I no longer have an 'udder' hahaha that's embarrassing but that's what I used to call my tummy! And I love that now my boobs actually stick out passed my stomach! I am slimming out a bit every day and now that the scabbing is gone my incision isn't so scary! My doctor put the Embrace strips on my incision and it was immediate relief, no more catching on clothes or tension on the skin, it's awesome! I think the hardest part is the first 2 weeks. Being afraid to sneeze (yea ouch! Of course allergy season kicks in now!) or laugh, unable to use abs or arms to get out of bed. If you sit on the floor you have to maneuver your legs and get up without using arms. And before the ports are removed there is crazy pinching on your sides so finding a comfortable position is difficult. I also hated juggling fluid balls (ports) around my neck while showering or changing... SEXY!! But after those are removed... It's seriously all up hill from there! I am so glad that I did this for myself!
9 days post-op
Up to date things are night and day. The first 3 days I think I literally slept 18 hours a day and the few hours I was up the noise from the kids was almost unbearable but at the same time I missed my kids so much. I am still having issues with not being able to pick up my 15 month old but I'm able to sit on a pillow on the floor. This way he can get to me and it makes us both somewhat happy. I've been off of meds for 3 days. Which is nice because I hate feeling spacey. I can't believe how little I feel with my boobs, hardly any tightness. I am so glad that I ended up not needing a lift. My stomach feels like I have a crazy corset on and where I had lipo it's so super sensitive and majorly bruised. I'm wondering how long the lipo sensitivity will last.
