I debated rhinoplasty for many years before...
I debated rhinoplasty for many years before finally going ahead with Dr De Silva.
After going to other clinics prior to seeing Dr De Silva, I felt really unsure if I was making the right decision due to the absence of the doctor in the consultations. After researching I came across Dr De Silva and was struck by some of the amazing rhinoplasty results/reviews posted on their website and on Realself.com.
After booking an initial appointment, I knew I wanted my operation done by him, with no doubts in my mind whatsoever.
Leading up to surgery date I felt well prepared and if I did have any questions, I would ring or email and the staff would do their best to accommodate my queries and even escalate them to Dr. De Silva if they were medical specific questions.
Everything went smoothly on operation day. Of course I felt nervous, but the staff and nurses were really comforting and understanding. The anesthetist explained the procedure to me beforehand which was really beneficial, as I was panicking about this. It actually turned out to be quite a pleasant experience, with nothing to panic about whatsoever.
Shortly after being anaesthetized, it's like I just fell into a deep sleep. Dr De Silva mentioned I may hear sounds during the operation, but I was truly out for the count! Upon waking, I felt no pain and weirdly relaxed.
In the week following my operation, I followed Dr. De Silva's advice, making sure I took all my medicine as instructed. Dr De Silva even called me to check everything was okay and told me to call if I had any questions. I was prescribed strong pain relief tablets, Co-codamol, however due to my pain free recovery, I didn't even need to take paracetamol, let alone Co-codamol!
So now, almost 5 months post-op, I am super super happy with my results! Every day I feel it just gets smaller and more defined, and looking exactly like I envisioned it. Dr. De Silva delivered everything I asked for, and knew exactly what kind of aesthetic I was after; the lifted tip, the straight profile without appearing like a ski slope, the straightening of the septum, the defined tip. I trusted his many years of experience to deliver the best results, and he did just that.
He may be more expensive than other surgeons, but I believe you pay for his expert knowledge, years of experience, understanding of your desired aesthetic, friendly and accommodating staff and of course amazing results, and all of that makes the extra money so so worth it!!!
